Record it & watch it when you get home. Don't find out the score so when you watch it, it'll be like watching it live.

On a sensible level it really depends on the scale of friendship..

The League One playoff semi season my mate was due to get married on what would have been the day of the playoff final. Now, being a pessimistic bugger I wasn't too confident Forest would get there and because he's one of my oldest mates I had decided on attending the wedding regardless of what happened (obviously as with most weddings he gave me a fair bit of notice so where Forest were in the table was by no means conclusive).

Obviously the events of the playoff semi meant there wasn't really a dilemma to be had!

PS: Timing allowing I would almost certainly have tried to find somewhere televising the game if I could.

They make small radios such as slip neatly into a pocket.

They make headphones with a lead that might usefully reach inside a sleeve, and there are earpieces that fit discretely into one's lughole.

I've done this, and you just need to picture the reaction of the room (predominantly Forest fans, all frustrated and pissed off that they were missing the quarter-final for the inconsiderate sod who got spliced on such an important day) when the father of the bride, suitably armed with the latest score stood up, asked for silence and then told everyone the latest score!!

Option "B"!!!

I can just imagine there being like 10 different people listening to the radio via using headphones and then the vicar saying if anyone knows why these two shouldn't be married then speak up now.. And then 10 people jump on screaming when McKenna scores a last minute volley to win the game!

If you are good mates th him, go and take a wireless, its standard issue now for people to be checking football results etc during weddings I thought!

When I got married, a friend of mine chose Forest over me, still upset by it now,it was only a pre season friendly aswel! :(

I missed the Leicester game for something so not worthy of my presence at the time of asking..

After that I don't know what to say anymore..

(I'll be sat alone with a bottle again if anybody needs me)
