SSN saying EM will not hesitate to pull the plug on Ange, but waiting until post-Newcastle at the earliest.

So the clock is ticking.

Now, as the companion thread is discussing, who will it be? Hardly a cornucopia of talent available.

Hypothetical question.

If losing this would guarantee EM will sack AP, would anyone on here actually want us to lose?

It's a tricky one, because I'm not sure there would be many situations where I'd actually want us to lose a match.

Can it be worse than Ange though? If Brentford can stay up with Keith bleeding Andrew’s surely a serious football club like ours can find someone with a little bit about them. I just think we need someone who is a little more expansive than nuno but not kamikaze than Ange and we’ll be okay.

This.

Unless we deliberately appoint someone clearly shit like Russell Martin or Wayne Rooney, we'd struggle to get anyone worse than Ange. I can't see us keeping a clean sheet under him, never mind actually winning a game of football.

This always makes me laugh. It's like making five pounds notes by painting a tenner. I would rather we beat Newcastle, because if we do that Ange will still be sacked soon enough anyway but we'll have three more points for when the new guy arrives.

It's devil's advocate.

But, I guess it depends how far people want to go. He could turn it around, but I doubt he will, we can't concede 2-3 from set pieces every game.

With the result a foregone conclusion, only one question remains...

Is it worth triple captaining Woltemade on FPL? Or will Howe play a weakened side because we're an easy three points?

If a loss on Sunday puts the final nail in the coffin bring it on. If it keeps us up, bring it on. Then we can look forward to (fingers crossed) Glasner/Silva/Dyche and by season's end mid table respectability

Forest are many things, but we're certainly not a serious football club. We're the laughing stock of the league with an arrogant clown for a manager and a pantomime villain for an owner.

It's pretty grim really, and like it or not Forest are now pretty despised by a lot of people who once had a soft spot for the club.

They will pressure and press us right from the off, very physical midfield so we need to match that to have any chance at all, or find a way of playing around it but their defense is pretty good too.
Do we have the mental resilience to hold out, not sure, but getting the first goal will be crucial.
If they score first think we are done.

I don’t want to see the repeat of all crosses /corners going into the six yard area either, doesn’t work with their giants waiting to pounce.
Not sure if Ange has an alternate plan though.
And ffs learn to put your laces through the ball Forest, just connect correctly and not mess about with half arsed attempts, that is so freaking annoying to watch.

Result if we show up

Newcastle 2 - Forest 2

If we don’t show up it will be a battering.

I’ve never wanted Forest to lose and would prefer the 3 points. I know it was only a hypothetical question Statto. I just want to get to 40 points as soon as possible and write this season off. I’ve gone from being so excited after Brentford to the depths of despair at the club.

However, unfortunately I think we lose this because Newcastle are just a better side than us and especially at home.

Well we’ve got a playbook for this shit.
The inevitable one good half followed by total collapse, leading to a 2 nil defeat min, and a sacked in the morning chant.
RIP the playbook up Ange.. you have one more shot and you’re on the barby

Newcastle may have had a couple of decent results but their league form isn’t great.

They’re on 6 points. We are on 5.
They’re 15th. We are 17th.

Both Aston Villa and Leeds have both held Newcastle to a goalless draw recently.

We know we have massive issues at the moment with regards to grinding out a result but…….It’s temporary and one way or another we will fix it.

I’m trying desperately to find positives but I believe in our players, not so much in Ange, and I have to believe they can deliver us a win tomorrow.

I’m going with a dirty, exhausting, messy, scrappy 0-1.

Failing that, Marinakis has a big decision to make.
