Apologies if this has been posted before but does anyone know if there is any substance to the rumour going around on talk forest that marthur will be leaving for a 'position with the council' this summer?

Redman is the fella who posted it and seems pretty sure this'll happen so fingers crossed!

what difference will it make.

Even if we appoint a similarly professional character and continue to make shrewd and exciting signings people will just vilify them instead.

What is the role? Is it one with the City Council?

The City Council are an organisation who seem hell-bent on implementing stupid policies to make Nottingham a less attractive proposition for businesses.

A short-sighted organisation hell-bent on taxing people for working in order to pay for their useless-for-nearly-everyone tram system.

Do you think Marthur would fit in there?

Who am I kidding? He's custom made for that organisation!

You're still pissed about having to pay to park at work, aren't you?

It's not gone through yet, but yes, it does piss me off rather!

I think it's £300 a year which will later rise.

Well thats pretty much what i pay in my current job,, if i ever get to work there i'll just have to include that in my wage negotiations!

Since when has walking prevented diabetes? :D

I'm not walking 8 miles to work and back every day!

Yeah, if I want to spend an hour and a half getting to work on two buses.

The magic trams are no use to me.

4 miles there and 4 miles back?! It's not that far to considering walking! And diabetes is serious, of course walking will help prevent it

In that case, you should at least consider walking once per week. That will also decrese your yearly parking expenses by 20% and in the even longer term future, you wont go blind or lose sensation in your feet because you wont have diabetes.

An hour and a half to travel eight miles is ridiculous. Where do you live?

Gedling. Only bus to Boots is from Town, so a bus to town = 5 minute walk to bus stop, 5-10 minute wait. 30-45 minutes into town. 5-10 minute walk/wait for bus to Boots, 25-35 minutes to Boots.

Obviously depends on number of stops/buses running on time.

Basically, it's shit, yes.

Get one bus and walk the rest? Walk into town then get the bus from there?

That really is shit.

You could write a letter of complaint, but Jon Collins would only supress it write you a polite and helpful reply.

That isn't really going to save me any time, is it?
