Tom Glick (Derby CEO) talking on "THE INCIDENT"........................

"Mark Arthur" (Nottingham Forest Chief Executive) Apologised to Nigel Clough at full time and to a number of our Directors, so I believe both clubs can work together to make sure the fallout from this incident is dealt with in a professional manner.

WTF !!!

If anyone should be apologising it should be coming from down the other end of the A52.

I just wish Marthur would STFU. Apologising is as good as admitting it was our fault - what a TW@T.

If he actually did apologise.

Given the crap I've heard Savage (club captain) and Clough (manager) spouting, I don't see why we should take something released by their know-nothing-about-football CEO type person.

This example of shameless spin doctory is the part that really winds me up:

"Indeed, there were no complaints made by Nottingham Forest about the conduct of any of our players or officials last season, so we find it puzzling that issues regarding those fixtures are being aired now in relation to the events of this weekend."

There was no complaint then because it was a non issue, just as this would have been a non issue if the Derby players had even a modicum of self control within them.

It's just another example of them bending the truth once again in order to paint us in the worst possible light.

The pricks.

I tend to agree with Winnits. A man of Mark Arthurs experience and stature within the club wouldn't be so daft to apologise before an investigation takes place. It's like admitting guilt before the trial begins !
No doubt another spin the Derby lot are trying to expand on for the media !

Derby have really embarrassed themselves this weekend. They're just bad losers. Tyson was celebrating with the forest fans. The derby fans weren't reacting to it. Why did those dickhead players have to get involved?. Derby started the brawl. As for Nigel,, i'm disappointed with his conduct. Poor Brian must be turning in his grave at what his son did at the weekend. He's heaped shame on the Clough family name. What a prick.

This is it.

- Did some of us (those who hadn't already left) find Savage's scarf antics annoying? Maybe.

- Did any of our players or fans directly get involved with trying to stop him and therefore escalating the situaiton? No.

- Were both incidents, in my opinion anyway, all part of the local rivalry banter? Yes.

As long as any act is not directly inciting violence (and I suppose this is where a bit of subjectivity comes into it, but Tyson was a fair distance away from the Derby fans as we've all seen and nearly across to the corner before he was apprehended), it should be considered part of a great local rivalry we have with Derby and let slide.

I think both incidents are closely related to the "sit down please" debate.

The stewards/police would like us to sit down for 90 mins and not even think about chanting/hurling abuse at the away fans. However, football (and especially local derbies) is not like that - there is a great deal of passion involved, both with fans and players alike (which Tyson's act showed). Whilst I'm obviously not advocating hooliganism, which is indefencible, there is a line between this and passionate support and I can see this becoming blurred nowadays.

From a sheer safety/risk point of view, I feel the powers that be would like to turn stadiums into libraries where we applaud goals like we are at the opera and where players leave the pitch straight away, without even contemplating celebrating a big victory with their fans. For me though, this would take away one of the main things I like about the game.

Sorry must have the wrong person, someone must be passing themselves off as you!

He passes himself of as PSR LIVES he got a bit of flack for stating that he knows who is going to sign for Forest, he is under the name of (Phil.Sane.Russel?)
Do you know him?

He has just stated that Harewood and his agent were at the ground trying to suck up so he can get a move here should Earnie go! and that Bale is nailed on and that Daws wages are a problem and that we are also in contact with Stoke for a loan for Sonko!

Take a look over at Vital you will see for yourself, maybe this is the same guy that uses the same name on Football Rumours!

I think it's allowed to make an exception where Mark Arthur is concerned.

For two reasons - one we need our pantomime villain and two - he is one!

Savage was only celebrating with his own fans last year, and Tyson was definitely aware that he was running provoking the Derby fans with his own celebrations. Whatever you think of those involved if you're being honest you have to admit Tyson's antics were a notch up from Savage's.

Aside from that though I definitely think the conduct of the Derby players was far worse as it was they who chose to move the thing from pantomime winding up to a full scale scrap and the fact Tyrone Mears hasn't been name dropped throughout the media like Tyson has is a total scandal.

Magical Marlon becomes a free agent at the end of the season. At the moment he is out injured and not likely to return to action for approx another 5 weeks. He has not been at Forest ground recently, but will as is his habit be along for a couple of night matches, because he loves watching the Trickies when he can.

So when he is spotted at the ground, be sure to expect another forum to post this as proof of his impending return. At the moment Forest cannot get near Marlons wage structure he enjoy's at Villa.

A mate of mine reckoned he saw him driving away after the game on Saturday to quite a few 'Marlon' chants.

Fair enough, as I stated he does like to watch Forest when ever he can. He would love to come back to Forest, at the moment though, the buts outweigh the pro's
