Marlon Harewood?

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but, Marlon Harewood has just bought a house on Smithurst Road in Giltbrook, and is training with Eastwood Town. I've been told by a few people, but didn't believe it to begin with but a mate told me earlier that he saw him on Hall Park Fields training with Eastwood Town, so it must be true.

Apparently he's been linked with Notts County! But maybe he's on his way to the reds.

Took us 5 yeas to get anything out of the kid but something about him was worth perservering with like Cloughie did with Robbo

I'm not comparing Marlon and Robbo as Robbo is a trillion times better than Marlon will ever dream of being

Also Marlon is getting on a bit now 30 i think he is now same age as Owen

I was excited about him coming back and then he went and joined Wolves and did f*** all instead of helping the club that brought him up, we got Blackstock on loan who was better anyway. In other words, f*** him

There is no doubt that he is quality at this level, but with the others that we have signed I don't think we need him. Especially as he scrubbed us for wolves last year

I take it all back, he did train with Eastwood at the weekend as Villa didn't go back in until yesterday.

He's obviously looking to move, but I can confirm that there has been no contact from Forest, despite the fact he's desperate to return. He also would have joined us last season, but O'Neill blocked the move as he thought there was more chance of Wolves stumping up for a permanent deal in the close season.

Oh, and apparently there was no hint of the "big I am" about him. He was the hardest trainer there and was full of praise for the Eastwood players and staff.

Some people with very short memories on this thread. I would love to see the hero return, one of the most honest professionals in the game and still more than capable of scoring bagfuls at this level.

Wrong. He choose Wolves cause they were offering more money. That news did come as a surprise to me as I thought they earned whatever is in their contract with their parent club but it seems not.

You're right he's not dropping down 3 divisions to join "The Sadpies" because the reason he is training with Eastwood is because he is on trial there for a week and hopes to earn a contract with them. :D

My source was from as close to the horses mouth as you can get without being the actual horse :D

Anyway don't wanna get into a argument about it so maybe in a way we are both right

Hate to point out the obvious here but he is married to a Nottinghamshire girl and it might just be that he was training with Eastwood whilst visiting the in laws for a few days.
