I know this is old news but wouldn't it be great to see him back here. I have just seen that his contract is up at Villa. Apparently he wants to go to Pompey according to his agent. What do they have that we don't

Grimmy i like you but your wrong. He did nothing while at newcastle and wolves. I think we can do better than marlon. :/

Marginally better than Adebola and Tyson. Behind Blackstock Earnie and Garner IMHO. If we can get him for free on wages of 10k per week ...ok but unlikely otherwise... NO

Would definitely rather have any of our current options bar Adebola than Marlon.

In fact, they'd probably play very similarly... Marlon's on the wane now, we saw him when he was waxing - and frankly, we only remember him so fondly because of the crap we'd seen before (much like Jonno).

Nice bloke, but one for the past, not the future.

agreed, it never works out when you bring a player back well most of the time. He will always be a Forest favourite so lets just keep the fond memories.

It doesn't take much to be a legend, he's had all of one and a bit more "good seasons" than Silenzi.

I take it you weren't there when he ran straight into a linesman? That moment seals his status as a legend for me. lol

I also saw him run around a lot like a headless chicken.

He was good, for a bit, once....maybe.

Maybe my legend threshold is just too high?

Good value on a free and at a sensible wage. He is very much a confidence player though and ideally we should be looking for better.

My defining memory of marlon, is our last season in the prem, away at middlesborough, 90th minute marlon has a 1 on 1 with the keeper where he has practically the whole half to himself...and somehow messed it up :D

He was fantastic in that season we did well under paul hart though, its a shame he never made more of himself.

I always described him as a "gumper" after Forrest Gump as his work rate was phenominal even if he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo when he started. I remember the player he became though and he was undoubtedly one of our stars under Harty and even added a few tricks to his reportoire. Unfortunately since West Ham I fear he has regressed which is where my caution steps in. An in form Marlon is a very dangerous proposition though.
