Sorry, a bit pissed and realise this is not exactly exciting news but thought some people might find it mildly interesting. Just bumped into Marlon a few hours ago in London and had a nice chat with him.

Gave him a bit of stick for the Newcastle result but I also asked him about Forest. He still has a lot of affection for the place and he said he'd love to come back because it's a great cluba and all his friends are still there. However, despite all the rumours over Summer, he was never approached by us. Right now Newcastle are trying to wrap up a permanent deal but he said "it's in Martin's hands so we'll see".

He also said he's still got his goal vs Crystal Palace on dvd. Anybody else remeber that one? It was an absolute beauty - goal out of nothing!

Personally, much as like Marlon, I pleased we didn't go for him - we're not exactly short of strikers and his wages are astronomical compared to our other players.

I can't imagine Villa would want too much and as the majority of their fans are idiots they'll care more about it being a "Premiership player" than a good player as they still live under the illusion they're still in the top flight.
