Mark Arthur Corner in the Doughty Bowl

Tomorrow is the first major hurdle for our potential ground move. If we don't win the bid, we sadly won't be moving to a lego building on the outskirts of Rushcliffe. Keep the faith.

I want us to get the bid; every club has to move grounds eventually if they want to progress as a football club. Plus if we get it i see doughty spending more come january.

;) Typo corrected, Robbie... :)

Yes.

I concede that Manchester United DID move in 1909.............

Oh great!
So I can buy the "Champions, 2112" shirt in readiness then....

:D

I hope we win the bid.

I hope we move to a new, modern and well located stadium.

Not sure either will happen, nor that either are dependent on each other.

I can't see us ever moving without this bid. I also can't see Doughty ever getting his £60m back and Forest not going down the shitter without this bid. It's huge.

I'll agree with that - for the first time in his tenure I can see a glimmer of hope that he might be hell bent on getting us promoted - which in turn he will have to splash the cash.

lets hope we get it.

would make us more attractive to any potential owners, shiny new stadium paid for and would piss derby and leicester off.

if we want to be great again, we need to move on.

man city could be us in 5 years time

also think the new stadium looks cool

Well the executives would never go for that one - nowhere to park their Rolls Royces, Bentleys & Mercedes-Benz's...

One of these days, I'm going to fish out the "artist's impression" of Nottingham's Milton Street/Parliament Street area post redevelopment, and compare them with the actual reality...

The 'selling' images show pedestrians mingling easily with the odd bus here-and-there in a blissful, calm environment.

The reality is that they've had to employ men to block the pedestrians' path, bearing Hi-Vi table-tennis bats with "Please Allow The Buses Across The Zebra Crossing" on them, in order to get any semblance of traffic flow at busy periods....(i.e. between 8 & 5)

But - hey - most people thought the pictures were nice and that the reality would be likewise utopian....

Don't think we will get it. FIFA obviously doesn't want to give it to us. I reckon it'll go to Russia.

Money on:
Russia 2018
Spain/Portugal 2022.

I think Winnits described the above picture as a "mouldy doughnut" lol

i dont think any ground looks particularly nice from above....

the city ground looks like 4 1970s fax machines butted together.

the main stand is hideous and needs replacing ASAP even if we dont get the world cup.

Not feeling optimistic - got a feeling Spain-Portugal will get it.
I feel surprisingly nervous - today is a Sliding Doors moment.

L'Angleterre favorite pour organiser le Mondial 2018.

That can't happen, 2018 will be in europe so 2022 will be somewhere else in the world - almost certainly USA or Brazil/Argentina

The 2014 world cup is in Brazil. Reckon it'll be either in USA or Australia. Both great venues.
