wow... thats a lot to think half way through one season. You may be forgetting that Lars played his heart out all the time, not to mention the corners that went straight in, or the 35 yard last minute headers. And at the top level ( i know the header was in the cup). Think me jet ski has got a fair way to go yet.

He was great for Forest, no doubt...
Just can't stand the director of football (or whatever his title is) Lars Bohinen.
Arrongant, like the rest of them! :)

He was great right until he activated his get out clause unless we bought it off him. Carragher.

The chip versus Spurs away in 95 or 96. Cut across the box and dinked it over Ian Walker. The Spurs fans were on thier feet appluading. Also his goal away when we beat Sheff Wed 7-1. Outside of the foot lob, unbelievable goal. What a player Lars was, shame he f**ked us off for Blackburn - and scored against us the following season!

That was in the Cup:

1st game was abandoned due to Snow
2nd Games 2-2 Woan scored 2 free kicks Chris Armstrong and Jason Dozzell scored for them
Replay 1-1 Roy for us Sheringham Free kick then we beat them 3-1 on Pens: Pearce , woan and Chettle scored Ruel Fox scored their only one with Sheringham,Wilson and Rosenthal missing for them.

Those games were in 95/96 season,Lars Bohinen scored the chip when we won 4-1 with Bohinen,Stone,Roy2 and Illie Dumetrescu scoring for them,Sheringham missed a penalty in this game with Crossley saving it.

I think they're different players completely, Raddy has elements of Lars' creativity and attacking flair, but is a much more industrious and hardworking player.

So to answer the original question - can he be the next Bohinen? No, I don't think so. When he was with us he was outrageously skillful - more so than Raddy I think - but Raddy is a harder working team-player so to answer the second part, yes, he could be better.

I got a copy of the 94/95 season review a couple of months aog and Bohinen looked amazing on that, set up plenty for Collymore as well as scoring some absolute crackers.

What a season that was! Pissed me off watching the video as the only three games I attended were two poor defeats at home to Villa and at Newcastle and and a draw with Arsenal when there were so many fantastic games.

Aha ta very much. I remember the snow game very well. Had my first season ticket, and unfortunately it was in the exec lower, near the trent end so you couldn't even see halfway.

Never got a season ticket there again, wasn't the view, just the constant moaning. Was only £55 though i think

Home and away?

Must have been fantastic seeing games like the 7-1 win at Wednesday, 2-1 win at Old Trafford and 4-1 win at Spurs.

My only away game was at Newcastle, sat in the home end using a pair of my Mum's friends spare season tickets. That midget Ruel Fox scored the winner with a header!

Didn't Bohinen come in halfway through the season and prove the catalyst for promotion? It's amazing what that one mid-season signing can do to an already capable team, innit? ;)

Its funny, i can honestly remember so much from that 94/95 season (ie score lines, goal scorers, where i sat, what pie i had at half time etc) yet i genuinely can barely remember a thing from the last 10 years or so (odd play off capitulation or coffee cup aside). Just goes to show what affect dull, uninspiring, lacklustre football has on the old brain! I bet Gary Megson's whole life is just a blur...

That "Forest players of the noughties" quiz really brought that home for me, how much I'd consigned to forgetting about lol

That said much of 94/95 is a bit of a daze for me as I was generally quite drunk!

Another memorable Bohinen goal was a screamer in off the bar at home to Wimbledon.

And the "Bo-hee-nan!" song was better ;D
