Got to say he's proven me wrong as i thought a few weeks into his loan he wasn't that good but towards the back end of the season he's played well, just read that billy davies has praised him for the role he played for the club in our bid for survival.

He did really well after a slow start. He was injured early on and played through it didn't he? All credit to him.

Humble pie for me as well. I was quite critical of him during his first few weeks with us but he's certainly improved. I hope he stays at the CG

The comments on that Lynch story are ridiculous.

People saying they have no confidence in Billy Davies and that we could do much better etc...

Bollocks!

I thought Lynch's performance against Doncaster was possibly the worst individual display I've seen from anybody at this club. Even if you are playing through an injury you have no excuse for not being able to pass a ball to somebody 5 yards away.

Since then though he hasn't looked back and although I don't think we will sign him I think we could do an awful lot worse.

Lynch is 21. even i know that. its funny how Billy thinks hes 19, getting a bit carried away with how young our team is perhaps

I don't think anyone can say they didn't think he was poor after the beginning of his loan. Rather than a few weeks it was a few months. I only saw the improvement after his disasterous game against Derby in the FA cup.

Since then he has turned it around completely and should he stay we finally have some genuine competitiveness for that left back slot.

But boy can he cross!

Watching his assists. He's wasted that far back. If he can learn the skills I wouldn't mind seeing him as a makeshift winger ;D

I can and I will. Just because you slag players off as soon as they have a bad game or two or make a mistake, it doesn't mean we all do it

He had one very poor game against Doncaster and a couple of games where he was completely isolated, due to tactics and an unbalanced team, eg the Derby game. To me, I always thought he the makings of being a decent player and I'm glad he has turned out to be.

Why pick me out of the thousands that were thinking it including the qualified successful manager at the helm?

He was playing poor tactics is no excuse for his performances. It was nothing to do with him being isolated his clearances were woeful and he let people waltz pass him with barely any attempt to stop them.

The only reason he has been fortunate enough to turn his form around was the lack of depth in our squad. But it really did pay off I am so impressed with his recent form and I am glad he has given himself a big chance to stay here permanantly.
