Lucas Bergvall

Well if they don’t do better than the last 2 years with the manager and what they’re spending they might as well fold! Stick to cheese and soft lads rugby!

Talking to a spurs fan yesterday - he does not want to loose Bergvall, thinks he’s going to be one hell of a player. Always looking to go forwards with the ball, hardly ever sideways or backwards.
I was talking to a Spurs fan today at one of my kids football tournament's. He also said he wouldn't want to see Bergvall go as he believes he's got the attributes to really kick on and become a very good midfielder. He does think that it's almost inevitable that he will move on due to the amount of competition and because of the spend.

Seems like talks are underway. Tottenham’s best ITK is saying it. He also has said Spurs have enquired about Neco Williams. Something doesn’t sit right with Williams situation for me. Have talks stalled?

The enquiry could simply be because Spurs are potentially selling Spence to Everton. It's probably a case of while they're talking to us that they've asked the question. Spurs enquiring and us selling are two completely different things to my mind.

This would be an excellent move to get things moving, would be nice to get a deal in the bag and this would be a good start.

Villa dropping £50m on Manzambi now as well.
„Up to €60m“, according to the news from SC Freiburg.

A tidy sum indeed.

Drove through Freiburg a couple of weeks ago - delightful looking place
It is a very pleasant city to visit, you have the Black Forest on your doorstep and it never feels rushed or crowded.

I stopped there few years ago for a few days on way back to France, via the Italian lakes, Dolomites, Innsbruck, South Western Austria and round lake Konstanz. Great wee city, nice vibe and as you said, walks in the Black Forest very accessible.

Yeah, Konstanz is a lovely part of the world as well.

How about we nip in for Spence. Spence and Bergvall for Williams. Deal?
Williams is still the better all rounder IMHO, not many have got the better of him in the past 2 seasons. I'd personally keep him for sure this season at least.
Once we know how the evolution under Glasner looks like, maybe next year we could re evaluate.

big dominoe effect going on in the PL with injuries etc.

can definitely see Villa coming in for Bergval now they've lost Tielemans.

Was surprised at Tielemans leaving them, seemed to come out of the blue, but then I pay no attention to the goings on at either club.

My wife’s from Freiburg so I got married there and go a few times a year usually. Great part of the world, the whole of Baden-Württemberg too. Though ignore anything Strummer might say, Baden is clearly the better part of the state (and includes Nottingham’s twin city of Karlsruhe).

"...got wind of a release clause", sounds curiously familiar and doesn't always end well.....
One of my first thoughts too. If I was villa I'd be wanting to know exactly how United knew they could bid the exact amount of £35M rather than £60M which you'd probably expect for him.

Release clauses are often public though, aren't they

MGW's was clearly meant to be private, hence it wasn't a round number unlike Tielemans' by the sounds of things.
