Given Spurs midfield spending, surely Beryvall is on his way out. Can see they've just got Brighton to drop £50m on Luscovic. They'll want 60m for LB, then. A bit too pricey for us?

I can’t see anyone paying that for him. They could be left with an unhappy, underutilised player or just pocket £45/£50m. It’ll probably be a later one.

Bergvall told Spurs will not sanction exit

Latest from Sky Sports News' Michael Bridge:

Lucas Bergvall has been told he will not be leaving Tottenham this summer, Sky Sports News understands.

The 20-year-old midfielder had made the club aware of his desire to move on in search of a fresh start due to concerns over his first-team involvement.

Nottingham Forest are one of the clubs that have a strong interest in the Sweden international, who has five years left on his deal.

Spurs are set to spend £185m on midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.

Wants to play in an 8. Knows we've just developed and sold Anderson so would likely be a starter in that position. Will see Glasner coming in. Spurs just bought 2 starting CM's.

I think he'll push for it & they'll sell- but will probably be £50m.

I'd take him at £50million if he plays well for us we can sell him for £80mil + in a couple of seasons if the Fernandes deal is anything to go by. If he doesn't he's young enough that someone will take a chance on him and the loss won't be significant if any at all.

Think Spurs are just trying to get more cash for him, hoping we offer over the odds.
Can’t see him getting much game time with 2 new players and some returning from injuries so maybe a late signing, if he wants to join that is.

Yeah there's no chance he'll want to hang around having seen another 2 midfielders walk through the door. If anything it will strengthen his resolve.

That’s not something I want to see this season.
Absolutely, I keep seeing people refer to a time where Bakwa and Ndoye have both played wing back. Was this an extended period of time or were they filling in as a one off because of injuries? Because from what I've seen of both of them I'd be massively concerned if either of them were playing wing back for us next season.

The appointment of Glasner will definitely signal the end of some players here as they just won't fit what we're trying to do and/or have been garbage.

Bakwa surprised me with how much he tracked back & how good he was at it in a few games.

Ndoye, not so much.

We can’t afford to be hanging on till the window closes for Ando’s replacement and the losing out altogether, if Tottenham are playing games then make our best offer and move on if rejected

The other factor for me is does Glasner want him, does Glasner have an alternative(s)?

Bakwa played 30 games under Rosenior as a rwb I believe. I wasn’t suggesting he was a preferred choice, just highlighting that was a position he has had a consistent run of games in, and he has done it for us once (that I can remember) and he was decent

Having just spunked their wad on 2 shiny midfielders, and knowing we've just sold Anderson for massive profit Spuds will be trying every trick in the book to make this as difficult as possible and recoup top dollar - id have preferred Levy was still there, he'd have probably agreed to arm wrestling the big man in the car park to settle the price, they seem a bit more on it these days

They obviously emotional about this one. He looks really good, but it might go to the wire and we need to be flexible about alternatives.

That avatar is brilliant. Where did you get that? 😂

They're also after Kroupi from Bournemouth and/or Summerville from West Ham for c.£80m so they're not finished yet, surely they're going to need to top-up the kitty before long.

I think Utd are after Summerville too so they might have to stump up even more if West Ham get a bidding war going.

Is Summerville really all that? I know he was ok for West Ham in patches after Nuno came in. We got £55m for Elanga last summer which I thought was ok as I could never see him breaking in to the £80m plus barrier. I know the market goes up and fluctuates and it depends on other things. But I’m not sure I see a £80m player especially as he is nearly 25. It’s not like he’s a young kid.

Yes, he's a brilliant player and he can create something out of nothing. If it wasn't for his performances West Ham would have gone down a long time before they did. In terms of a fee, who knows now, clubs are just throwing a price at prospective buyers. There was a time when we could all look at a player and pretty much know what he was worth. Nowadays clubs are happy to pluck a high figure and say that's the price if you pay it great if not f*ck off.
