Cheers m8 had a look at the membership and it seems a fantastic idea...any chance i can get round the 90 day rule though?
You lot seem a top bunch and seeing as i normally drink in the globe before a game this membership would make it more enjoyable, nothing more i love than before a game than chatting/arguing etc...bout years gone by and years to come.

Ha Ha i assure you I'm not buddy...I've sunk to some depths in my life but never that low.
The rule is you have to be a ltlf member for 90 days before being eligible.

Ok buddy...I understand rules are there for a reason and you don't want any jughead rolling up matchday do you?.
Im just buzzing for the new season and love the whole matchday thing...train/pub/match/pub/train..so this new members room sounds quality.

At the very least it should be okay for an existing member to sign you in 'til the 90 day time period is sorted, if that turns out to be a non-negotiable.

Either way, I'm sure we can come up with a solution.

Sound, looks like a quality scheme to be fair.

It gets packed in there usually, so being able to flash a card and stroll upstairs would be a nice luxury.
Especially as it's so close to the ground.

Plus it stocks Nottingham Brewery beers right? While they are inferior to Castle Rock, they do some decent ales

Indeed it is.

The Globe does have a good range of ales, but there's only one pump upstairs. Card holders will be given the opportunity to request / vote for their favourites before each game.

Maybe but I can understand why it's there.

The idea isn't really for people to sign up to the forum just to use a private bar on matchdays.

Though I'm sure there's workable solutions for all involved.

It really does sound a top idea and will make matchdays even better...being from a west mids football hotbed i've always wanted somewhere to get lost in all things forest!!!.
My mate & I have had some top days in the globe and southbank but never really met up with any fans time and again...to me thats what makes football.
I still remember promotion day after the game in the globe singing our heads of at the top of the bar...and a county fan walked in and got the royal piss took out of him but all in a good natured way.
Matchdays are back soon and im personally buzzing for them....missus being preggers and big brother on the box are doing my tiny little mind in!!! :blink: ;D

wowzers! rather than being billy no mates rob, it looks like we might have found ourselves a big bunch of billys to talk to!

I've no idea if there is anywhere on this forum to introduce yourself but i'll make mine here - Phil, 30 from Morpeth. About to fork out for a season ticket and travel (380 mile round trip each time) and knows nothing about regular attendance at Forest. Been a far flung supporter for 22 years now and think it's about time i had a new local... even though it's not terribly local!

Yeah sounds good don't it buddy! seeing as i drunk in there before games anyway with this added bonus it makes even better sense, Looking forward to this season alot more than any season i can remember for a longtime.

Just so everyone knows, we will have a list of people who have already paid for their LTLF membership card (including subscribers who have donated £10 or more so far this year) on the door for both the Bradford City League Cup game (12th) and the West Brom league game (15) and at all subsequent home games.

People on this list can come to the upstairs room at the Globe (we will have signs up to guide) to collect their cards from one of the admin team (me, Winnits [Alan] or StuC) who will be 'manning' the doors. If you prefer your card to be posted to you, please let StuC know by PM or post on the Subscribers Zone forum thread if you haven't already done so!

If you haven't already ordered your card, you can do so here or just come armed with a £10 note to get access to the exclusive Globe function room all season.

If you want to bring guests to these games, please PM StuC with names to add to the list. We'll issue guest passes on arrival. You will need either a guest pass or Membership Card to enter the function room and to buy drinks.

One problem I can foresee is our list having forum names and not real names (edit by stuc - my list has both forum name and real name its just the star members list which i had no control over which we don't know who they really are), or vice versa, so please bare with us if we don't know who you are, even if we know who you are (if that makes sense).

Looking forward to seeing you there, the more the merrier! :cheers:
