LTLF Premier League Predictor 2023-24!

Barry

Where's me hammer?
Barry you know what I'm so done with life and so out of energy for literally anything I have no idea whether that's sarcasm or a joke or whatever.

I'm just trying to do right by the people that joined the pool in good faith,

It's not a joke, you are clearly at a low point...lots of sound people on here who can relate, talk, don't shut yourself off. There's clearly something here for you to keep coming back, stay, let's laugh, cry and get angry together because the journey has just begun.

Worlds a shit place at the minute, lots of people suffering we all need to talk more. Even if it's a load of old bollocks about bollocks.

I always remember some old boy telling me when I was going through the shitter, the worst day of your life is only 24 hours long.

Total stranger, owed me nothing... cost him nothing, probably forgot saying it.
.. best advice I've ever been given.

Lost count the amount of times I've said it to folk since.

Sorry I can't do any of this any more. I'm sorry for all the shit. Stu has set up a pool and whilst I can't personally transfer you to it I would encourage anyone who signed up to my pool to join his one.

I'm sorry everyone, I really am.
Look after yourself, mate.

This forum can be a great source of support. There's nothing wrong with taking a break from things, but don't shut yourself away from the world.

I agree.

I've found the members of this forum have given me some fantastic support when I've needed it over the past couple of years or so. Some of it may have been in the form of light hearted banter, but it's all been good and helped enormously.

Couldn't agree more with the sentiment here lads.

During lockdown I was made redundant. As if the pandemic wasn't enough, I had serious problems with my employers at that time who were the most awful bullies I've ever encountered. Not just to me but to all my colleagues and their clients.

Maxi helped me out with financial advice (which I'll never forget even if he doesn't see it as a big deal) as my employers were trying to steal some of my furlough pay and that's actually when my company made me redundant (because I challenged them). I didn't know where my next pay cheque was coming from but it was a relief quite honestly to get away from their toxicity.

I managed to do some delivery driving to keep me going and eventually found a great employer in August 2020 and I'm still with them to this day.

I struggle with so many things each day and in the past I may have written things that come across as strong or confident but it's far from the truth. I've written things where I look at it the next day and think 'What the f***? What an idiot'. We all have doubts about ourselves. It's human nature. I'm vulnerable. I have days where I look in the mirror and think I can't do it anymore. But you have to find that inspiration from somewhere, whether it's through family, friends, work colleagues.

Look at the people around you who you admire that are always smiling and joking, who opened up to you in the past and let you know they're human too. They showed their vulnerable side, because deep down we all are. What you see on the outside or online isn't always the reality. Accept you're human and give yourself a break Harv. You're not perfect. Nobody is. When the negativity kicks in, tell it here you are again, you crazy bitch. Well yes, this is normal. You won't break me or overtake me. I know who I am.

Seriously mate, best of luck. Open up if you feel comfortable and we're here for you.
