LTLF or Ebay

zigga-zagga

Following on from the previous (now deleted) thread started by kookiethekat it is noticeable that, having registered on 3rd February the first post by this person was about the sale of a ticket for Forest v Derby and all the other posts have been about the sale of tickets to yesterdays match.

I have no objection to fans selling tickets for genuine reasons but it does appear that kookiethekat is using the site for nothing more than selling tickets. Is there not some way that this can be stopped?

Folks should report such things using the 'Report to moderator' option.

If somebody genuinely has a spare ticket and is seeking to recoup their cash by selling at face value I don't see a problem - but in the case you cite I think they were selling complimentary tickets which is wrong.

You can't stop the threads appearing but I'm sure that - if they're for the illegal resale of tickets or anything similar - they'll be deleted.

I accept that we can use the 'report to moderator' button but it is difficult when the latest thread was deleted as soon as I said that I was reporting the matter to the club

If that's the course of action you want to pursue then you should be able to liase with a moderator - when threads are deleted they are retained elsewhere.

I accept that, thank you, but it is not necessary - I have alreday given the club all the information tahy need and have had an email backing saying that appropriate action will be taken.

Good stuff, you're absolutely right that we should work to ensure the forum isn't abused in that way.

That's fair enough mate, you also weren't selling a complimentary ticket - it was one you paid for.

Feel free to PM me if you would like them.

Nothing wrong with that. It helping fellow Forest fans at no gain to yourself. Likewise someone can't sell their Rice number. :p

There was another guy who was selling the tickets of two season ticket holders who couldn't make the last match for £25 each.

So £50 in their pocket for something thats already been paid for. Didn't like seeing that on here.

Hiya all, long time reader first time poster.

From having many free tickets before, I know that if you re-sell those tickets, Forest withdraw all tickets for the future from the organsation or school they are given to, also if there are then problems with the buyer, banning orders come into place on the seller ( ticket touting ) and the school or company ( not controling recipiants ).

I know of one person who had freebies through Cap One who lost their job too for re-selling

Yep, it's taken very seriously by the powers-that-be.

Technically reselling any ticket is against the rules, face value or otherwise, I think. But well, personally I don't see the moral issue with the latter.

I bought 2 tickets for me and a friend, but then they could'nt make it so rather than send it back to the club I thought
someone on here might have interested in siting next to a fellow LTLF'er.

But if nobody wanted it I would of returned it.

I think the main gripe people have is that complimentary tickets we're being sold on for profit. This forum member had nothing to contribute, obviously couldn't give a toss about the club and used this space to take money from genuine fans.

If he simply passed on his free tickets no one would have a problem.

...and eBay gets its percentage, listing fee, final value fee and PayPal commission.

Funny that, isn't it.....
