Off the pitch.. literally..

I was quite surprised to see Forest had made a point of asking fans to keep off the pitch after the game on Sunday.  Were people seriously thinking about pitch invading at full time?
Pitch invasions are quite a good thing, at the right time - certainly I was on the pitch after we won promotion [...]

Unfortunately its become a bit of a tradition after the last game of the season. Almost inevitable. Such actions should be reserved for emotive moments such as gaining promotion etc. Peterboro' April 1st 1994 was such an occasion!! Awesome day!

What exactly is wrong with an end of season non-confruntational pitch invasion? No harm no foul surely?

Other than further damaging the pitch, it allows for fans to potentially mix with angry away supporters and there is always one nut who has been drinking far too much who probably trys to grab a player in a friendly way but causes an injury. The CCTV covers the stand areas not all the pitch.

This time around the players want to come on with their young kids, would you take your young son/daughter into an uncontrolled mob of drunken men (and some women).

I think last season didn't someone walk off with some radio equipment used by the physios..

why? i think people are getting a little carried away with a team that's failed for most part of this season. some of the first half performances this season have been dreadful to say the least and now the players want to do a lap of honour with their families. ::)

I would love to go on the pitch to celebrate

Without trying to sound like a dick, exactly how has it become a tradition considering it's only happened once?

I would of gone onto the pitch but I'd rather stay in the stands and listen to Billy.

I think if it came down to the last game of the season, and stayed up.. I think many would of gone on.
