[LTLF] Is that it for automatic?

Bigger deficits have been overcome before but not when the teams above have better players, it makes it even more difficult.!!

Can't be THAT much better, we've beaten both the teams above us at least once a piece :)

Better depth of squad certainly.

Better left backs - definitely.

Better best eleven? Maybe marginally. We still beat them, though.

Hmm, I don't really know enough about the WBA or Newcastle teams - but in the games I've seen between the two and the other ones I've picked up I've seen little to envy tremendously.

Dorrans looks quality, as does Thomas, any left back I envy, the Newcastle squad come with the caveat they're being paid far more than they're worth.

Newcastle have a lot of quality players in their team but as you say most of their wages would be unsustainable for most Premiership sides, let alone us. Jose Enrique is the only player I would love in the Forest squad though.

Don't know much about WBA's team and none of their players have looked particuarly impressive in our two games with them.

Collochini, Smith, Dorrans, Morrison, Gutierez, Nolan, Brunt, Koren, S Taylor, Lovenkrands, Jara, Olsson, Tamas, Butt, Barton, Cech, Thomas, Barnes, Bednar, Miller....

Theres 20 who would walk in!

Wasn't impressed at all with Tamas.

You can basically discount any Newcastle players as we'd never meet their wage demands - probably not even in the top flight.

Brunt is very inconsistant, but great on his day. I do think Bednar offers something more than, say, Adebola. The others I must confess to not knowing enough about.

It would be an unusual world if a side a couple of seasons out of League One couldn't be improved by sides recently in the Premier League and retaining a reasonable chunk of their top flight squads, though!

And the money to pay for wages for most of those players listed from Newcastle would come from where?

Most of the WBA players did not impress me remotely in our two games either; if Barnes would walk in why didn't we go for him after his release from Derby?

Ah the joys of the level playing field that IS having two teams getting parachute payments....
