It's more in place than 90% of the threads on here. Which I think makes it out of place? I dunno. Schrödinger's thread

Now living in Carlton. Edinburgh is completely rammed the now due to the Fringe/Festival and as I walked out Waverley station on Thursday (for Hibs game), first thing I see is a bloke wearing an old Forest training top. YOU REDS!
I lived in Gilmerton before we moved to Nottm in 1976.

Kind of a strange question but perhaps others in Canada can advise - anywhere local that stocks Forest kits/shirts? Or am I SOL and ordering straight from the NF shop?

Nothing that I've found, though I wouldn't be surprised if specialist shops start stocking soon ish. I've seen villa, Everton and a couple of the other 'normal' teams in kicks, which is a local football store. I usually order from the online store; I tend to win on tax (go alberta and 5% sales tax) but lose on delivery, paying about 12-15 pound for that.

Another wow moment for me yesterday.
I'm in a small village shop, queuing with a bottle of wine and a thai is in front buying his beer
He turns, sees me and says " hello where you from"?
"England, in fact Nottingham"

He smiles, says yes, yes Noooooot ting ham F ooorrist

Then walks out the shop yelling yooooooooooooou reeeeeeeeeeeds

I was pissing myself, yet very proud

But this is what we need. he has obviously watched us on a tv channel and premier league is popular here. But it always seemed to be the big 6 advertised. We have to muscle in on that. I am seeing our shirts for sale in the Bigger cities stores now

Do you ever see someone in a Forest shirt in a place you wouldn't expect and when you go "YOU REDS" at them, they just stare blankly back at you? Happened to me once - I thought "what's wrong with you, you weirdo? Say it back". He must've been a non-playable character...
or on a stag doo and that was his penance

New Aussie fan here. Yes Ange has swayed me. Been wanting to follow a club and not one of the usual suspects. I like the history of Forest and I have to say the forum has a good vibe about it. Anywho, born in Hobart Tasmania, but raised in Sydney. Sydney is just too fecking busy now so 20 years ago did the whole tree change thing to raise my kids in the country. Now in Goulburn, New South Wales. It’s referred to as the Southern Tablelands and is still very much a farming area. Home of the Big Merino as Goulburn is a sheep farming area ( look it up, Australia has this weird obsession with giant roadside tourist attractions.) Yet drive 50 kays up the road and you’re in the Southern Highlands. Full of w**kers in Rollers, housewives in Rangies and a bunch of Karen’s complaining about the ducks crossing the road. I kid you not was a local issue debated endlessly on how to rid their town of the scourge of wild ducks!
So it’s all in for me now.

So that's why they had that giant peanut as a roadside attraction on a Bluey episode! :ROFLMAO:

I was at the Australian Open on Wednesday proudly wearing the Forest Away kit -- heard a "YOU REDS" and I stared blankly in the direction of the sound basically because I can't see that far .. 🤣

It was Zabalenka as she served - it’s her go to grunt when she’s losing
