London Pub for Newcastle Game

Tutts

In response to Flagman's other thread, we've been doing a bit of a ring round of some of the capitals bars to find a suitable place to take over.

Bearing in mind it clashes with a Prem game, a lot of places were unwilling to commit to showing it. The ones that were, sometimes couldn't guarantee sound would be played.

However, the people at the Sports Cafe, in Haymarket, have confirmed they will be showing it with full sound, so myself, Trentend Foghorn Ali, Liz, possibly Jonathan and Aaron Makoena will be heading down there.

Especially as according to their website, certain beers are £1.50 all night. :)

Anyone else in the vacinity feel free to join us. The more the merrier.

I will obviously be there.

Should be there by 6:30pm at the latest.

Was the £1.50 promotion on those beers pre or post budget? May need to reconsider my cider drinking now :(

I would drop by, but I have half a day at work so I'll be going home early :)

Excellent - not sure if anyone will be wearing their Rice to make us more visible but if you spot us then come and say hello!

You'll recognise Tutts, he'll have a big hat with corks dangling off it and says 'bonzer and streeeeeeeefth mate' in a loud voice, and he probably lives in Earls Court in a flatshare with 15 of his mates.

I could well join if you dont mind, as I dont want to watch it at work! I am however the AM of a new sports bar at victoria station, and there is also one at marylebone, am damn sure it will be on, so if you want a table, then let me know! Its about ten times better than sports cafe, but its my day off, so id rather not go in!

Still 50/50 for this.

Tuttlebee, I'll text you as soon as I'm done with my interview to let you know what sort of time schedule I'm running.

Despite the fact, I'vecome back from the north coughing and spluttering, I shall still be trundling up for this.

Should have Rice 7 on - so if you see us come and say hello, buy me a pint and tell me who the hell you are (you'd be amazed how many times I've met LTLFers before and after 10 minutes I've had to stop them and ask if they're DanR.)

Liz should be easy enough to spot as well, as she's in her profile pic (on the left not the one in the Bear outfit.)

That's cool Richie, wish we'd know that before!

What's the name of your bar? Might bear it in mind for any televised play off matches, particularly the away leg if tickets are going to be hard to come by.

At Victoria, eh? That's excellent for me as all trains from down here go into Victoria. Definitely one for the play-offs.

My train gets to waterloo about 6.15, I'll wait for Mel who's in shortly after, so should be at Sports cafe around 6.45ish.

Glad you're soldiering on, Tuttlebee. I am pretty poorly as well so we can spread our germs together :hey:

I should be there about 6:30pm and, after the months of empty promise, should finally be bringing a female friend!

I'll prob be there around 6 so I'll bagsy a table. Hopefully in front of the right screen. I may also wear a gas mask to combat your collective germs.

Ha! Well, You might want to bring a big 'Hello LTLF' banner or something!

Just make sure you find out which Screen they'll be showing our game on, as I think Ali ran ahead and they were intending on putting on Man City v Wigan in one area of the bar and ours in another.
