1. Out of the top six sides from last season - West Brom, Newcastle and Blackpool have gone, Cardiff are in financial meltdown and Leicester have made no significant improvements to their squad.
2. 14 of our first-team squad are under the age of 24. An age where it's recognised players improve year-on-year, especially with regular first-team football.
3. Only 2 of our first team squad have passed their 30th birthday and are therefore likely to see a tailing off in perfromance.
4. The sides who've been relegated from the Premiership are all financially shaky.

But people need to realise that there aren't an abundance of quality players that are available and even if they are, they might not want to come to Forest. Indeed, Kelvin Wilson may well want to go to Celtic and that alone tells you what kind of status and attraction our club holds at the moment.

Anyways, I agree with Mr.Congo, given that if you look where we've been wallowing for the past decade, we're now doing exceptionally well for ourselves. It is amazing how quick the knives come out following a hugely successful season. Sure, improvements need to be made to the squad, but it's still very early and it's definitely not for the want of trying. Gah, maybe I'm just not hysterical enough for this place anymore.
