Liam Lawrence to become a red?

Been told on good authority (a friend of Liams from Mansfield) that Liam Lawrence has a choice between Portsmouth (player exchange) and Forest and fancies a move to Forest to be back near his family - personally think it would be a good signing!!

Think what you like mate - It won't happen.

He's also local, which fits into Doughty' whole thing with putting Nottingham back into Nottingham Forest. Doughty would be more likely to sign someone like this.

Don't let him take penalties though.

So Doughty would like to bring in another local lad but then let another one walk?

Definitely think he would give us some quality down the right or left. Him and ANDO could switch wings and hopefully cause a lot of damage. Blackstock would definitely benefit from a decent crosser of the ball.

He'd be a cracking signing which is why it won't happen. Always wondered why we never tried to get him from the Stags.

We've been linked with him a few times so I expect we are still interested. He looks like he will be on the move and I've often thought that our transfer policy is most effective when clubs are willing to sell.

Look he isnt gonna come we have problems with this transfer commite. We wont sign anyone we will be lucky if we sign a couple of prem players left out of there 25 man sqaud on loan. There is somthing wrong with Forest at the moment and as sooner it comes out the better.

Are people going to post the same repetitive **** about the AP/AC in every single thread?

YES WE GET IT. YOU DON'T LIKE THE COMMITTEE. Don't post it on every thread!

i doubt this will happen, but if you are from notts and you get the choice between portsmouth and your home town where would you go?

Halifax.

It's pretty helpful for all transfer policies I imagine! :D

lol good point.

I was trying to get my point across without going on a transfer panel rant. What I mean is we bid low for players which dosn't always work when clubs don't want to sell like Pratley and Whittingham but it does when they are looking to ofload players like Camp and Blackstock.

Just read that Celtic are interested for 2million so that probably rules it out anyway.

No, not at all. Just thinking that if the same sort of money was available this year we probably would have signed Pratley by now.

That is a different situation. Pratley's nearing the end of his contract. Lawrence isn't (as far as i'm aware!)

Agree with the comments about Lawrence, he was always Mansfield's best player and the kind of player we should've gone for when he left the stags.

Can't see us signing anyone to be honest, least of all this guy.
