On the Radio Nottingham Interview Billy Davies said that he had left Lewis out for off the field disciplinary reasons - hmm trouble at mill me thinks?

I think that some overpaid prima donnas are get rightly told that is what they are.

I understand Colin Calderwood's supportive management style, but I think BD is right to instill some discipline.

I listened to the interview and although Billy did mention 'discipline' with regards to 'eating habits and fitness', I didn't hear him identify and name any particular players.....and so he shouldn't.

I'm all for discipline. If anything, we need more of it!!!

clough used to fine players for not wearing a suit, i admire BD's approach just hope it will work

Well it could be a lot worse for Lewis if his employers were to know about his little secret!

That was stupid of him. Should have fined him or whatever, but not left him out. When Mcgugan plays well, the whole team does.

Apologies...must have missed it.

It does make sense after his comments that he needed to lose a little weight but I don't agree with the public identification of individual issues.

Was the question asked about why he was on the bench, though?

I mean was it an answer, rather than just mentioning it for the sake of it.

this is why premier league teams don't buy english players so much, because the attitudes of the majority of english players stinks. no idea what mcgugan has done but it cant be worse than the piss head antics we've had to put up with for years.

We need to be careful that we look after Lewis. Billy is trying to help him to develop by pushing him much harder, which is fine, but we can't afford for him to become dis-illusioned with the club and want to leave, as he is a great prospect for the future, as well as being key in our present struggle to stay up.

No he wasn't answering a question as to why he was on the bench he just seemed to mention it and then said he is not the only one and would no go into specific detail just mentioning diet preparation etc - my concern is have we not been here before Oldham 5 - 0 on New Years Day a few years back

I seem to remember someone saying they saw Garath McCleary buying a McDonalds just after a game a couple of weeks ago.

Once known as Nick.Doyle.nffc on 'ere.
Last person who tired to be strict with the Forest lads was Megson, and that backfired at the end!

In the 2nd half when McGugan was told he wasn't taking a free-kick Colin Frays commentry was something like "McGugan has just gone sulking off shoulders raised like a spoilt kid who couldn't get the sweets" .

No wonder my post count..

Lewis may have his eating habits/fitness concerns.. but regardless of this the main priority is to stay up in this division. Lewis can change and can win matches - keeping him on the bench isn't good for anyone concerned.

Why? If he was then he needs slapping upside his daft head. He is in an ultra privileged position and should act like it.
