lets stop talking about transfers

Forest are not going to sign anyone, sorry to burst your bubbles guys but from listening to davies on the radio tonight it seems he has more confidence in the world ending then in forest signing anyone on loan.

Davies or the board, maybe both, are responsible for the poor squad and results and it will be there fault when forest are relegated because this team is not good enough

Possibly, possibly not.

I'm still the eternal optimist, and think we've enough quality in the current squad - if and when they are all fit - to keep us up this season; there are at least three or four teams worse than Forest I've seen so far in the Championship.

I - like most of us - would be ecstatic with finishing fourth from bottom this year; then on to the summer and a major rebuilding job under Billy Davies.

It would make this sub-forum rather redundant, would it not?

One of the most annoying things is that calderwood had 2/3 players lined up to bring in in january (one of whom certainly camp) and i think we would have seen them come in had he still been manager. But with him going just before the window opened those targets then went out the window (excuse the pun!), and so realistically it was too late to get anyone with a new man coming in, and having to assess the squad etc.

Thats very interesting and looking back now it certainly explains why Calderwood was sacked at that moment in time (from MA's point of view).

Which is why they should have got rid of Calderwood earlier like most fans were demanding, especially when considering the stories in the papers saying that Davies had already been lined up to take over. Another very clear indication of the poor judgement and mismanagement by those who run the club. I'm just so f**king angry because all they have done with their decisions is manage to ensure that we are sucked into the depths of a relegation dog fight with a threadbare and inexperienced squad. Why they are prepared to take such a huge and obvious risk with the future of the club when it is evident to every supporter how disastrous another relegation would be for the club is beyond me.

I think about her frequently. She was simply divine.

It's a shame she didn't manage to hold on to her looks like Joanna Lumley did.

Exactly, another relegation would be unthinkable. Surely you cant put a price on that

Davies hit the nail on the head...the players available at this stage of the season are so for a reason.

Either they're not good enough, have a suspect attitude, or are guilty of both. I'd rather we didn't sign anyone than brought in someone who doesn't improve the squad.

can you not see it though mate? the reason these players are available is because forest dint sign anyone in the window because they are too damn tight. if the teams around them can afford players so can we. you cant put a price on relegation but doughty and arthur obviously dont seem to care. forest fans deserve better then this

Especilly when you are talking bollocks. Don't care about relegation? From a football, economic and other angles they clearly do. The plan is to survive in this league this year and then kick on. Davies clearly wants that and to do so without too much disruption to squad morale which is excellent. He will rebuild in the summer, taking his time and getting who he, not they, want.

you are so far off the mark its unreal. so with the age of this squad your saying the 3-4 experienced players will not add anything to the team. of course it would. nothing i have said is bollocks. Forest are on a downward spiral whether the manager wants to keep morale high or not. we will be saying this until its too late. how about you grow some balls and accept the fact that forest have not signed a single player either permanently or on loan. and considering the 3 shit seasons we had in league one you would think that staying up would be a priority because another relegation would be disastrous. look at the games we have coming up. and you think everythings fine? your dillusional mate

i agree , how long is morale going to stay high ? the throwaway lead against the sheep , predictable limp defeats at cardiff & brum & a fortunate home draw against QPR in the mix doesn't inspire me so i'm not sure if the players will keep being positive if we lose at ipswich and again to the sheep, confidence would be battered , and i honestly think we'll do well to get a point from the next two games.
