It's official, it is now 6 o'clock, the transfer window is shut and the o so spectacular TAP have failed to make any signings again! great :)

What did you expect, given our recent track record?

Let us hope that the Board have the cojones to speak publicly and tell us honestly why we have not strengthened the squad.

other than losing Garner and Perch, we have the same squad that finished third last season.....whats the ficking issue?

you obviously didnt say any games throughout the "finish" to last season!

And that squad was found out towards the end of the season plus we picked up injuries which we couldnt cater for due to lack of numbers. Forest have a very thin squad and when we pick up injuries it puts us in the **** as we will see now mccleary and anderson are injured. Its like doughty thinks we wont pick up any injuries throughout the season. cant wait to hear the excuses now.

As far as im concerned, its time mark arthur was sacked. His handling of the transfers this summer has highlighted what an incompetent twat he is!

Blah blah blah, sack this man, sack someone else.

Nobody knows what happens behind the scenes and who does what. What a difference a year makes, Arthur, Pleat and the TAP were heros last season.
It is annoying but would people want a 4th, 5th or 6th choice player in just to fill a gap, for that player just to screw playoff or promotion chances even more because they can't make the grade ?

There will be no money to buy any players in january just like the transfer window after that and so on and so on.Theres no money.

Ffs :'(

Bertrand aside, the fact we failed to acquire even a loan signing to cover injuries points to some fishy goings on behind the scenes. I can't think of any other reason other than ND lining up a new manager and backing him in the loan window and permanent signings in January or less likely ND selling up.... Any other reasons/ excuses points to NFFC being beyond a joke. Suicidal in fact.

cant believe it!! sometimes dont know why i bother with this club!

this ****ing stinks and i don't care what anyone says about ND saving the club bla bla bla

It's time to take off the blinkers folks and start asking questions, this football club have deep-rooted problems.

Lets wait for sedgred to defend the messiahs Doughty and Arthur with his usual re-cycled bollox.

Here Here, Well said.

I keep hearing people saying how great a Businessman ND is, I do know of his personal fortune and his companies and Doughty Hanson and all the rest of the things he has going on which I admit are impressive but perhaps he has too much to worry about keeping hold of what he has got to be worrying about Nottingham Forest. Let's admit it does a very good job of keeping his name in the media and acts as a pretty good vehicle to carry around his ego.

I've had a manufacturing business in the city for over 20 years and I can tell you in no uncertain terms that if you do not invest in the future of your Business your competitors will continue to invest in theirs, You may be as strong as last season but all of a sudden your competitors have gained strength and impetus whilst you were resting on your laurels

Bring on the relegation dog fight

Doughty is without a doubt the worst thing ever to happen to Forest, he appointed Platt and authorised all his spending which nearly bankrupted the club. He refused to back Paul Hart in 2003 which eventually lead to our relegation to league one. He appointed hapless managers like Calderwood, Megson and Kinnear. He is responsible for Mark Arthur still being at the club.

Everything that has happened in the last 11 years can be laid squarely at his door.

I think this might be a tad sensationalist, but there's no doubt this result is not good enough. Forest fans deserve better.

People on here love a conspiracy story - Doughty's got no money or Doughty's planning to sack Billy etc etc. My guess is Doughty has money but is simply too tight (and the Forest machine too incompetent) to deliver when it really counts. They did a good job 14 months ago, but now was the time to really crank things up. Unfortunately, Doughty has gone full circle and not learned his lesson properly. Platt wasted his money all those years ago and he's terrified of repeating old mistakes. However, this seems more similar to when Doughty failed to back Hart after a great previous season. There are times when you simply have to back the manager, and this was one of them. £5mn or £6mn spent this month would, in my opinion, have meant a Top 2 finish (worth tens of millions).

Bad judgement Doughty. It may be time for him to finally leave his post....I will always be grateful for how he saved the club but we need a Chairman who's a real winner to take us into the Premiership. The facts speak for themselves - Doughty has not delivered and I'm convinced he will now fail again this season. I hope Billy stays but I expect there will be fireworks tomorrow.

And please nobody tell me to wait for the loan market. Not good enough.

What a load of ****e!

Football is a rapidly changing game and we were never one of the safe premier teams to begin with. Money rules now and we are one of the best run clubs around.

Just because we don't buy all the players everyone wants people spit their dummies and are ready to jump off the nearest cliff.

Get a bit of perspective everyone and just look around the country at the other 90% of clubs who didn't buy anyone.

I've never heard from such a negative bunch of whingers and I live near Newcastle!!!
