Lee Miller and Scott Severin

According to my friend who is a Aberdeen fan he contacted me to tell me that he saw 'Our Billy' at Pittodrie, and their fans were discussing that their two main players Lee Miller and Scott Severin would be on their way this month. Asking for a report on the potential targets my mate said:

"Lee Miller is a legend. Excellent striker and our best player. He can hold up the ball and score goals. Excellent touch for a big man and our top scorer. Severin is a very good holding midfielder or sweeper depending. On his day he's also very silky"

Just what we are looking for, so maybe some truth in it.

Heard this from a number of sources, there could be some truth in it, both players fit in to the playing ethos of BD.

I'd imagine that he would cost around £350,000 now.

Severin probably the same.

He'd be about 750,000 to 1million. He's a good player and in good form. A lot of clubs are interested in him including Rangers.

Their manager rates him as the best striker in the SPL and dosn't want to sell him.

Maybe, Aberdeen aren't the richest of clubs. Would probably be more like 1.5Million for the two which would still be good business.

Severin has been mentioned a lot on various transfer sites in connection with several clubs including Rangers, would seem to be a quality player. As for Miller, sounds like a Davies kind of player a bit like a Howard or a Cresswell.

As for the rumours about them and Rangers, forget it, there is no truth in the matter, Rangers have financial difficulties themselves at the moment without the idea of signing anyone else. As for Miller and Severin, they wouldn't be welcome additions and wouldn't improve the squad one iota.

Miller has been having a fantastic season this season and can do some damage to defences, if true about Forest after him then he would be a good addition and good competition to Earnshaw and Tyson, could also give something a bit different.

I think Diamond might have been the more likely target.

Maybe it could be all 3 , as they do cover all the things we need - another big central defender , a commanding defensive midfielder and a tall target man type striker.

Full backs most important I reckon, with Chambers and Wilson freed up do we need another CB with 4 competing for 2 spots? Full back is our weakest spot at moment if Davies is discounting the youngsters. That and a leader in CM to give and get and free up the more attacking players, although it looks like Billy sees Perch in that role.

Miller I think would be good for Forest, but at Rangers we have Kenny Miller, Kris Boyd (just), Velicka, Novo, Naismith, Lafferty, young Fleck can play as a striker, Low is another youngster currently on loan who should be one for the future, that is six senior players who would be above him and a couple of younger players who would be challenging him, and in all honest Fleck (still only 17) is a much better player than him, basically Miller wouldn't bring anything different to Rangers and he wouldn't get a game in front of any of those listed above.

Severin I don't think is good enough for either.

And I agree it was probably the defence BD was looking at.
