Just a thought I have had. Age and the type of bearing it has on the choice you make. At my age, with a host of unforgettable memories, the thought of leaving the City Ground breaks my heart. Am I just a tiny bit part in Forest's glorious past, to be consigned to history, or are the youngsters dragging the likes of me kicking and screaming into a bright new age ;D.

Or are the ages and preferences a real mixture ???

Stay at the CG for me.

When I see the Bridgeford End on matchday for the first time it takes my breath away, will never, ever get that feeling anywhere else.

I think they should be a 14-20 category.

Where's the option for> I don't have much of a choice once the City ground is demolished so I'd better let go and learn to embrace change

As much as i love the City Ground i have voted to leave.

It's the right time to go and make a new history for the club in a new stadium.

I have been watching the Reds at the City Ground for twenty five years and i was dead against a move to the proposed stadium in Clifton. However now it is in Gamston i feel maybe it would be for the better to move/upgrade. I will always love the City Ground though :hi:

Imagine how hard it would be to walk away from the City Ground for the last time  makes me sad even thinking about it :aggresive:

Ha I was thinking of doing something like this. ;D

I was thinking it would maybe have been the older lads/lassess who wanted to stay mainly because of the Cloughie years memories.

I don't want to leave the CG but we know we can't redevelop the Main Stand, to progress more off the pitch I feel leaving is the best option, but a better location then the Clifton/ Gamston areas

Oh you bogger Sedge I've been trying to avoid answering this one for a while now.

I really am undecided.

No wonder my post count..
Can't really say I've had memories at the CG having only seen two games played

However, it is one of the nicest (and I'm not being biased) most picturesque places I've ever visited in my life.

Will you all give it a rest with this one! Of course we can develop the Main Stand!

We had a model of what it'd look like in the ticket office up until a a few months ago. They probably took it away so they can more easily peddle all this crap about not being able to develop. Stop being brainwashed by tripe from people who want to make money out of Forest and don't give a shit about our tradition and marvelous location (and yes, that includes that twat MArther).

Having thought long and hard about it moving is the best solution for the future,My 1st game was Cloughie last game at the CG in 1993 and i have had so many good memories of the City Ground but to the move the club forward its a good and vital move.Just hope we look at stadiums from Germany rather than a shitty flat pack stadium like Derby and Middlesborough.

I love the City Ground but it's time to move on and up. Good things are starting to happen at Forest and anyone who truly loves this club can't seriously want to take a course of action that will only hold her back.

I'll continue to love the City Ground once we've moved to our new home, but I'll learn to love the new stadium too. We can (and should) always sing about the City Ground even after we've left it behind, but we'll be singing along to Mull of Kintyre as well as singing new songs about our new home.

Read this and you may find out why the club can't build a new Main Stand :

Do you mean the model of the whole ground in the perspex box? I always assumed that was meant to be the current Main Stand but it just looked new because it was white rather than the grimy grey colour that it is in reality.

I do, however, agree with you that the club are going to do all they can to persuade us that building a Main Stand is unfeasible (even if, in reality, it is viable) to get as many people behind the move as possible.

32 and as much as I love the city ground, and more importantly to me A block, I understand the reasons for needing a new ground and how staying at the city ground could damage our future investment in the team.

Bolloxs. If they wanted it to happen, they could make it happen.

Seen the Bernabeu lately? A 62 years old, bang in the middle of town, fully refurbished, football mecca.

(They're about to refurb the ageing Nou Camp as well)

Memories are just memories they will not shape our future. Our past has been set and that can never be changed. However like a child growing up he or she eventually has to leave home to develop into an adult and progress. You still keep your happy memories of being at home with mum and dad, but to be better and make something of yourself staying was not an option.
This is a similar situation, despite the wonderful memories we have to enjoy the past but look to the future. We have to allow the club to grow, as fans we need to realise the city ground is just like mum and dads home, lovely to see and we cling on to them fond memories but we can't stay forever. The club cannot stay there forever, so rather than be divided we must accept that change is needed, embrace that change and make sure that wherever our new home is it is right for us and we make our voices heard. We will not settle for second best we want the best.

I will believe and listen to what I want, just as you will. If I read and research something, I have enough years in me to make my own mind up, and unfortunatly for you, suprisingly, your opinion doesn't really come into it.

How smug ?

I couldn't care less chap.

Okay, so I take it you've done your research. Tell me then, exactly why we can't redevelop?

All I've heard so far (including from the so-called experts) stinks of spin with no foundation.
