I can partially agree with that. We haven’t added anything that addresses the lack of goals yet… Woody is now 34 and I’d be amazed if Morgan gets 15 again. We will lose quality there but that was always going to happen because Anderson was always likely to go to a big club.
The reason we finished so low was not down to having players or not having players it was because of managerial issues and lack of goals.
Inevitably.If it’s not the Saudi’s it’s Chelsea….they are after him now.
Inevitably.
I fully expect them to be trying hard to find a loophole to the 25-man squad limit.I am sure they are trying to sign every player everywhere as it's the only way they can win the title again.
The Rodri thing has to happen before all of that no?Feels like he's gonna be involved in the Enzo to City dominoes
Reijnders to Saudi, Enzo to City and then either he goes straight to Chelsea or Wharton/Scott to Chelsea, Camara to replace either of them at Palace or Bournemouth.
Would be disappointed to see him go to Bournemouth or Palace after the other Sangare went to Brentford.Feels like he's gonna be involved in the Enzo to City dominoes

I still think we'll go big on a striker. This feels like our 'big signing' to me.
I think Dom would get a lot more game time. He's always the man that every manager turns to and can be trusted to do a job and he'll probably get some kind of assurance. Yates would also be pure profit and could go to a promoted club.I would’ve thought Yates but then Dominguez will surely have some resale value. And would Dominguez potentially want to be 5th/4th choice.
I wondered about Yates too. Thought it was noticeable on the Awoniyi clip the club has put out that Yates mentioned about it being important for Awoniyi to get away and get regular playing time….a slight hint perhaps…I still think we'll go big on a striker.
Big if, but if we did sign Camara who's the most likely of the midfielders to be shifted out do we think? I've got a sneaking suspicion it might be Yates'y.
Dom's done really well in pre-season I think, and as everyone says he's every Managers dream player (also doesn't seem too fussed about starting every week)I think Dom would get a lot more game time. Just referenced the same commentDom's done really well in pre-season I think, and as everyone says he's every Managers dream player (also doesn't seem too fussed about starting every week)
I can see Yates being bottom of the Midfield pile as well, didn't he say something on the Taiwo tribute like "you deserve to go and play football"? maybe he's thinking he'd like to go and play more elsewhere (conspiracy theories R us, 2+2=5 etc.)
Going by the end of pre season Yates isn't even in the midfield pile he's now a backup CB so yeah can see him assessing his options.Dom's done really well in pre-season I think, and as everyone says he's every Managers dream player (also doesn't seem too fussed about starting every week)

And to add to the conspiracies, I noticed in the summer videos in Portugal that Morgan came down to greet Schlager as a new signing, not YatseyGoing by the end of pre season Yates isn't even in the midfield pile he's now a backup CB so yeah can see him assessing his options.
Dom could play in the 10 or even as a wing back if we needed. I’d suggest he’d be ahead of Yates to keep.I would’ve thought Yates but then Dominguez will surely have some resale value. And would Dominguez potentially want to be 5th/4th choice.
