Kevin Nolan today.

Got a few things to get off my chest about this big, fat twat.

1. Didn't realise how much of a fat twat he really is.

2. Couldn't believe his tactics from every single corner infront of campy. Thank God that Moussi was being street-wise with him.

3. Why the hell did he have a go at Gunts? Dirty tactics IMO.

4. Thank God his goal was disallowed for offside, especially considering his snobbish comments prior to the game about us treating it like winning the European Cup if we won.

Don't like the guy, never liked the guy and today proved everything right.

Wrongly, by the look of the highlights. Tee Hee.

Looking at the highlights I think he just was. It was taken from the flick-on and he was JUST beyond the defence. Was tight though.

Goal was just offside. One of few decisions that went our way (I assume that Carroll fella paid the ref to allow him to elbow Wilson in the face constantly), and what a good one it was!

Did Newcastle have two captains today? Both Smith and Nolan were constantly following the ref, gobbing off at him. Can't believe the ref didn't book Smith when he followed him about 20 yards moaning.

just said in the mtchday thread that even the Newcastle fans in the pub (I live up north at the mo so there's quite alot of 'em round here) conceeded the goal was offside......just lol

He can say and do whatever he likes, really. And he can stick his no points up his arse and f*** off back to Scotland while he's at it :)

Ah, you see now, Smith is a premiership player really, and that's how the big boys do it. It's cultural differences. You can't go criticising someone for being from somewhere else!

Although the ref had the whistle, he allowed Nolan and Smith a free hand to say and largely do what they liked. The antics at their corners were a disgrace and many refs would have awarded free kicks to Forest every time the ball was in the air. Carroll is a big, awkward, ugly player who is good in the air BUT he seemed to push, elbow, foul every time the ball came to him. The ref seemed to ignore many of these as well. There is a fine line between hard play and cheating. Those three crossed the line IMHO. When are referees going to stop this continual hounding which goes on whenever a decision goes against certain teams? When are they going to stop players trying to get oponents into trouble? All the ref needs to do is warn them before the game and book them if they do it during the game.

We saw some typical Ex-Prem pre-madonna's. Nolan and Smith along with a few others decided at one point they couldn't beat us playing football so they moaned everything, and in a game where absolutely everything went Newcastle's way it showed for me. Didn't like the fact the Ref was shaking hangs with Nolan and Smith during the warm-up too

I actually thought the ref did very well yesterday, one of the best/fairest refing performances Ive seen this season. He didnt give everything to the opposition like some refs in this league. He booked 3 of their players, including Smith in the opening few mins. It was a big occasion and atmosphere but thought he (the ref) handled it very well and wasn't swayed by tossers smith or nolan or that lanky waste of space up front (forgot his name).

no one is a premiership quality player unless they are playing in the premiership imo and even then this is debatable

How about when Juventus got relagated?

did that mean Buffon was no longer a top-class player?

Nolan is entitled to stand in front of Camp. Obviously it's not really ideal for us but I thought Moussi did very well in muscling him away from Camp. He to be fair didn't really have a lot of crosses to come for but the particular one that stood out was when we nearly conceded as he went into no mans land and didn't reach it. Aside from that and the cross that hit the post at 0-0 he didn't really have a lot to do and cope with.

(i sat in the trent end yesterday so can only talk about corners at that end)

in the first half - I agree nolan didnt foul camp and moussi dealt with him.

in the 2nd half - we put a man on the line for corners who also didnt foul their 'keeper. Our man WAS repeatedly fouled by the pie marking him tho.

The main difference was that camp behaved like an adult to having his movements restricted at corners (championship player) and harper behaved like a child (premier league player) by moaning to the ref for 5 minutes after every corner that he had been obstructed.

Smith's booking was for berating the referee, not for a foul.

He was lucky not to get a retrospective second yellow in the second half as well. I can't remember if it was Tyson or Anderson who broke down the left, but he slid in a knee height and missed the player by inches on the edge of their box. Any contact and he'd have been off.

Smith berated the ref for much longer after his booking than before.

Smith was booked for kicking the ball away after conceding a freekick.

I have always liked Smith's haircuts.

His beard was a little off though. Perhaps that was what got him a card.

If it were, then I imagine he would have stopped whining at the ref after being shown the card and indeed throughout the game.

Matchwinner Blackstock said: “If one of their players did say that [beating Newcastle] would be like Nottingham Forest winning the European Cup again, that’s a bit disrespectful.

“It’s three points, just the same as we would get if we beat Barnsley on Tuesday night, and none of us was up for this game more than any other.

“Our fans were quick to remind them we have won the European Cup twice in our history. How many times have Newcastle won it? I think we all know!

“I wasn’t surprised we dominated them the way we did in the first half - when we pass the ball around, pin them back and play we want to play, we can dominate any side in this division.

“But we’re not going to get ahead of ourselves and start crowing that we’re going to win the League jut because we've won four games in a row because it means nothing.”

Great comments by dexter.

Andy carrol was a disgrace last night. For such a big lad, he spends far too much time falling over theatrically. And then arguing with the ref, trying to con free kicks or penalties.

The dissallowed goal would probably have been given in 90% of other matches, so its great for once the luck seems to have gone with us.

Nolans an idiot and always has been. But you have to appreciate this is the man who went to newcastle and decided to tell everyone it was because he wanted to play for a big club that could win trophies. Instead he wound up getting relegated and is now generally just laughed at :D
