Ken Clarke & the Reds revival

Le Juif Rouge

Senior Mass Debater
Is it a coincidence that the return to the Tory front bench of the Forest supporting "Big Beast" occurs at the same time as our revival?
Forget the politics! It is always good to have a public figure promoting your team. Although Dubya was no doubt a D**by fan!!!! ;D

Let's put it a different way, Ken Clarke spends less time in Rushcliffe and all of a sudden Forest are doing much better. Coincidence? I think not.

didn't know Clarke was a Forest until the other week. I could think of much worse celebrity fans to have, although i still wouldn't ever vote Tory :nowink:

Only other celebrity Forest fan i knew of was James Dean Bradfield for the Manic Street Preachers who is supposed to be a die hard socialist!! see how football brings people together :)

I guess everyone should just vote Labour then and let them complete their masterplan of destroying the country! ::)

Anyway, Lee Westwood supports Forest.

Annesley Red

he's just a fat Tory pit shutting B@stard jumping on the bandwagon

Anatoli

Stuart Pearce
Third highest Tory majority in the Country and I think I am right in saying that he is MP for Forest - certainly the rest of Bridgford.

I was surprised that Brian Clough was friends with Ken Clarke as Cloughie was pro Labour with him attending Labour Rallies from the 1970s to 1980s. As Cloughie was also friends with the late Labour Derbyshire North MP Philip Whitehead.

Well, there's socialism and then there's champagne socialism.

Bradfield's local league team is Cardiff if he's from Blackwood and I'm not sure how much of a fan he is. Forest with Clough were certainly the Club with a manager whose ideals fitted best with their lyrics at the time.

Why would that preclude friendship?
