seems like he will be leaving liverpool this summer on a free, reckon he would be a welcome addition. was tipped as the new stevan Gerrard not long ago, seems the type of player that will improve our midfield also nicky powell is also available on free if lansbury decides to go.

As a kid coming down he'll probably be on twice as much as the kids coming up that he passes on the way. I'd rather have one of them.

If there's anyone from liverpool , should be João Carlos Teixeira who has had experience at this level and done very well but he has suitors which makes it unlikely but if you don't try , you never know.

need to get a decent midfeilder in to replace lansbury, dont see him staying know burnley have gone up and £6 million is a lot. dont think gardener is as good without lansbury. should we stick with the attacking 5 man midfield or go for 2 strikers?

I assume you're getting the £6m from the Bristol city story, in which case it's been denied by all parties.

I'd be surprised if were offered more than £3m in the summer

I'm not sure Gardner comes into things at the moment. Depending on who the new gaffer is he may well have completely different targets.

Stick with what attacking 5 man midfield?

As above I don't think we'll have any idea until we know the manager and what personnel we'll have.

When the loan players have left and those with expiring contracts are removed from the equation, if you also take out the kids it's going to leave us with about 14 or 15 seniors, which includes a couple of proper biscuits, so that's at least 10 to 12 players commingled in as purchases, loans, or from the academy.

So not knowing the manager and not knowing the players it's impossible to know how we'll line up, or how we'll play.

The only certainty is that it won't be like this season, or we'll be in trouble again.

There aint a midfield two combination on our books that would allow us the luxury of two strikers. Nelson having to drop into midfield constantly was proof of that.

Leicester are currently the benchmark for a proficient 442, and in fairness, Kante & Drinkwater are on a different planet when it comes to workrate let alone ability.

If the new man wants 2 strikers, he'll need a new mentality in the middle of the park.

would probably have been a decent bet, adam le fondre been sent back to cardiff definately a good striker in this league and could pair up well with assambalonga

Think LeFondre is a decent striker mate, but alas too small & similar to Assombalonga to make a viable pairing.

Britt needs a partner with size to do the dirty work but still chip in with a few. All that assuming we can put together a midfield with enough industry to accomodate two strikers anyway.

Yep , Britt needs a partner who can complement him , someone who has a bit of height who can hold it up and contribute goals as well , someone like that Jonathan Kodjia from Bristol City.

Kodjia has been superb this season. Wouldn't be surprised if a lower prem team come sniffing for him.
