Looks like he's been playing for PSV's reserves this season. Given his age, I think this one is more one for the future than this season (assuming the club like what they see enough during his loan spell to activate the purchase option).

Always happy to see the club make signings like this and that Bindon lad from Reading though. Talented young players for the future.

I ike these kind of signings in the sense that it's almost a no lose situation and he could turn out to be excellent under Nuno's tutelage long term.
I can't see him being ahead of Jota or Sosa at any point this season though.

I'd be amazed if he got any minutes or made a PL match day squad this season.

PSV had a buy option clause of £5.4m according to Wiki and a few other sources so I suspect they had already told City they wouldn't be triggering it for him to end up here (or maybe the player told City he didn't want to sign for them ?).
Maybe, not one to get too excited about for those that are hoping he's replacing a first team squad member.

My main issue with that is putting him on the bench to start with.

We should (and probably will) play a second XI starting lineup, and so the bench should be loaded with 9 first teamers, in case we get into trouble.

Yeah, all indications are this is a potential punt for the future, and probably not one we're massively confident about. The fact that City are trying to shift him for a low (and decreasing) fee, suggests that there's not a lot of confidence there from either of the clubs that have already seen him up close.
