I can't help thinking that Garner is another Grant Holt, being asked to play out of position and not really fitting in with the style of play at the club, I suspect that if he was played in position and the style of play was suited more to him we would see a better Joe Garner.

Personally I think he would benefit from going out on loan as I think he has a lot of potential.

i've always had high hopes for garner but he hasn't been given a chance.

a loan would be preferable, i can see him being the next grant holt too banging them in.

having said that, if it means we get moses then i'd be happy :D

I would think we'd be looking to loan him, simply because his value will be rock bottom given his lack of game time.

He was a big investment and is young yet - so has time to develop.

now on skysports "14.01 Millwall are looking to steal Nottingham Forest striker Joe Garner from under the noses of his former club Carlisle United."

I think Deserves some first team football. Something that BD just can't give him at the moment.

Hopefully a loan though.

Much as I love Joe, a loan spell would do him good, he may be able to learn some more erm, 'tactics' at Millwall.

I think Garner is one of our best to be honest(probably more in terms of potential at the moment) but he has not really had the opportunity to play in his position this year and could be quality...

Although we can't really ease him in to the team at the mo' and if he gets games under his belt (and goals) he could return from his loan on top form!

I think he has the quality to go on loan to a ccc club..

Like I said before I think he could do a job for us on loan at a lower position CCC , That way its a win win for us with him getting match time and hopefully taking points off the teams around us. :)

The way Garner plays, the Millwall fans would love him :D
Cult hero in the making at The New Den.

They's be more interested in having him onside for the post match scrapping.

His value has plummeted like a Maybach 62 - worth about £250k at the mo, we have to loan him out.

Garner will score for fun in League one just like he did for Carlisle. You're right the Milwall fans will love his attitude!

I still think he has the quality to make in the CCC however. I think him and Blackstock/Addy up front would be a great combo for late on in games/ when earnies not available.

As stated his value will have plummeted so it would be monumentally stupid not to at least loan him out to let hime regain his value first. I still think he would be better off going to a mid/lower level CCC team (on the proviso that he does not play against us)

Garner is a brilliant player.

Determined, hardworking, strong and with a moment of brilliance in him.

Selling him now would be stupid. Loan him out, get some confidence for him and bring him back. He's fantastic and will only get better.
