Been in the first team squad a few times now and finally made his debut so deserves his own thread.

Didn't think he embarrassed himself tonight when he came on- perhaps didn't see a huge amount of the ball but worked hard and wasn't afraid to put his foot in. Great interview with the lad afterwards as a well- clearly knows he lives the dream tonight.

Hope we see more of him in time.

Comes across as a level headed kid with his feet on the ground.

Pleased for the lad.
 
He got stuck in when he came on. Played the ball confidently and sharply witb the pieces he had. Only mistake he made was when he let his runner go down their left when we scrambled it off the line. Solid start though.

Loved his enthusiasm and that interview showed what it meant to him, just a schoolboy living his dream, that's what it all about.

Came on in quite a rush by the looks of things, and didn't have time to insert his shinguards or pull his socks up ;)

Did well - plenty of energy and confidence. More of this please.

He is only 18, and we all know that players at that age don't always fulfill the promise they show in their youth.
However, I hope the lad has a long and successful career with the Club.
Dare we hope he replaces Joe worrall in our hearts?

Not 19 for a while either. Lets hope he gets more of a chance to show what he can do.
 
I appreciate him getting full named during the substitution.

Good energy and that seemed to put some energy into others. Ran at players and got stuck into some good challenges.
 
Amazing how this lad went to posh school and yet still doesn't seem to be able to afford a pair of shin pads which fit...

Joking aside though, I know a few do - Grealish, MGW, Alex Scott etc, but it doesn't make sense at all to me, Ok so they perhaps don't help move as well but they do stop you breaking your leg as easily if you get tackled badly.

Alex is only young too but young Joe isn't 19 until June and does look like he still has a fair amount of work to get up to full fighting weight, and from what I heard (as only those at the match could see it) he does seem to like getting stuck in which may well lead to a bad challenge taking it out...

My Dad always used to tell me ‘defenders need shin pads, but if a winger is good enough, he won’t need them’
His point being that good wingers don’t get tackled. He’s from a different generation though.

True, my daughters often laugh when I tell 'em it's the reason my gardening boots last so long. They might not be footballers, but I'm sure you get my drift.

When I left the Army I took my ammo boots with me, hobnails and all and they lasted for years, so I always have the same style of boot, can't beat them.
 
It's funny when I occasionally see an opposition player from my sons grassroots rock up in a pair of Copa Mundials or Puma King he's one of the players I first look at. You know from just from that alone that his dad must have been a bit of a player himself so the kid might have a bit of something, amazing how often that's correct.

My favoutite boots in my playing days were my Pumas.
I cant remember which style - they were mainly black with a white flash front outside, and a leaping black puma on the white tongue.
I felt like a top pro when I put them on in the changing room.
Shame the feeling wore off as I entered the field of play.
 
Young man's interview is solid viewing for all football fans - especially fans of Ratface FC et al.

Articulating exactly what Forest means to be a part of and play for. Love it.
