Decent player but to call him a legend is an insult to the real legends of NFFC.

Is this website a piss take or is his ego really the size of Jupiter?

First Toronto FC player. First Toronto FC captain. Football League favourite. Gold Cup champion. Jim Brennan stands tall in the world of Canadian soccer. Learn everything you want to know about TFC's captain, shop for Brennan gear, and contact the man himself. Welcome to Jimmy B 11, the official site of Jim Brennan.

But Jimmy had his professional sights set on The Football League. And so at 16, this gutsy kid from Newmarket packed up and flew to England for a trial with Bristol City. The City players knew Jimmy was gunning for a place in the side, so they tried to get in his head. People told him that a young Canadian kid couldn't hack it in English football. They were wrong

Jimmy B11 my arse.

Oh yeah and that they called him James instead of Jim on 'This is Football' for my PS2

Yes, I think he ran the length of the pitch, playing a one two with someone (Rogers at LM perhaps?). Someone played Brennan in and he slotted it into the far post from the left side, about 10 yards out I reckon.

Was a nice goal!

Yer pretty sure it was Tank who set him up.

Tank was good at LM, quite creative.

I used to adore Jim Brennan and remember getting his autograph and going really shy as a gawky teenager!

This website has brought it all back!

I love him even more after reading the quote about Forest being his other team

Don't think he was sold to Norwich, think he was out of contract and went on a free.

Jimbo was my favourite too. I miss him and Matty Louis-Jean!

When we beat Norwich 4-0 and he scored the last goal, we 'decorated' the Norwich fan at work's desk with all manner of Forest paraphenalia.

The piece-de-resistance was changing the name-label on his desk to 'Jim Brennan' - he didn't spot it for weeks :D

Awesome!

Brennan and Louis Jean were quality at the time. Rogers was decent on the wing too, just because he was quite fast and could twat the ball :D

Yeh, we truly had their pants down that game. It was a shame Brennan scored his only goal that day as Norwich clearly remembered and signed him up :(

He didn't exactly shine for them, neither did Matty LJ.

I think we got their halcyon season, it was always going to be downhill after that.

I know he's pretty popular with Toronto FC fans, but nobody thinks he's really that much cop, just a hard worker.

Ben Olsen though, now there's a legend. Sadly it looks like he's looking at an early retirement due to his knee injury flaring up repeatedly, despite numerous attempts to fix it. I think he played in a cup game for D.C. United last night, so he might be on the comeback trail.

Brennan was a good, solid left back for us, who worked well with Rogers as they both had pace.
