Just seen that Left Back Jay McEveley has been released by Derby - I believe Billy signed him up there - possible squad player if we don't get promoted? Our furry friends from down the road claim he's had a good season.

He's a Carragher. I don't think he'd fit in with our squad after his antics in both matches this season.

I'd take him.

I couldn't care less how he reacted in our games, I believe a lot of it comes from the occasion, some of our players weren't innocent in those games. But most expect our players to back up their own lads, he did the same.

He can't pass so wouldn't suit our style. Having said that he's got to be better than no left back at all.

I bet we'll go back in for Mattock. His shocking display at Bristol live on Sky has lowered his stock at WBA and I bet Billy could work wonders with him.

If we get promoted we'll probably go back for Fox at Burnley.

Now there is someone who didn't choose wisely when he left Coventry. Wasted a year of his career.

GAH ! No Mattock , slow and weak , not the best combination. Thank god we did not get him , that would have been a disaster. Even Lynch is better than him and that says something.

Why ? His wages probably increased by twice or more after he left coventry to join Celtic and his career is hardly harmed by his short spell.

It's not all about the money though. Yes Celtic offered European football but he isn't there now, he is at a very poor Burnley team.
If he was advised better he could have joined a team that were progressing or were more stable in whatever league.
I'd still take him though.

Wouldn't say Fox made a bad move. He's in the Premiership after all.

By the way I wasn't saying I wanted Mattock. I just think we might go back for him.

I do think he would be a better player under Billy though.

He's alright, can play CB as well.

However, we've got two 'alright' LB's that make good squad men. We need a quality one, whichever league we end up in.
