But by applying that logic to Leeds’ half chances we would have lost something like 4-1, 5-2 in both matches which is scant consolation. In terms of goalscoring opportunities we got battered last night.
On Saturday we had the better chances than Leeds. Not sure how you get 4-1. I can only think of 3 real goalscoring opportunities they had, and I include the actual goal in that which wasn't really a good chance. Sels save from the close range header, and the offside goal are the others.
We hit the post, had a close range header of our own saved, Wood was clean through and scuffed his shot, and Jesus should have scored a header at the far post when he put it wide.

It's all a little disappointing at the moment but let's actually talk about what happened rather than how it feels. We were marginally the better side on Saturday but conceded a sloppy goal - both giving the free kick away and the way Sels set up.
We've played one of the worst teams we could stylistically for the way OG sets up. And last night the big difference was a young centre back playing on the wrong side continually getting his positioning wrong.

We wanted a top manager. The industry agree we've got a top manager. We now need to grit our teeth and get behind him and the team and let him do his job rather than constantly wetting the bed.

Okay… a bit pedantic …in that post you state that we could / should have scored in both games - I haven’t disputed that.
Can I ask you to reread my post and in particular the 4-1, 5-2 score lines I gave.
No one can argue that we could have scored but I am saying by that logic and based on the number and quality of the chances Leeds would have scored more.
So yes we might have won or drawn those games but that pattern over a period of time will not sustain positive results. Do you agree?
I'd happily re-read it if I needed to but I don't, as I don't disagree with that viewpoint

Despite both results, I'm fairly reassured that we've created chances in both games that may have been converted on another day.

Wood was given a 5 yard start on Rodon, and Rodon, not the fastest centre-back, was able to overhaul him and get a tackle in.
Wood's pace was never great, but last night he was slow.
I think the move was similar enough to the one Dan James scored from, granted Wood had a lot more to do.

What constitutes wetting the bed? I’m behind Glasner but last night was abysmal and Saturday was dour but I do agree we weren’t second best just a keeper error.

I agree we did have on better chances on Saturday. Your post is well reasoned and well written. 👍

Just seems a shame to sell a good player, a loyal servant and a top squad character just to play a certain system that we don't have the personnel to play.
Couldn't agree more. I think it would be a crying shame - and I'll go further and say a mistake - if we end up selling Neco because we've changed to a system that doesn't suit him. I don't care if I get called sentimental for this.

Would like to see Williams on the right personally

Its not sentimental at all, I am just looking at it practically. Weve hired Glasner and thats that now. Im hoping Glasner changes the tactics and gets the best out of teh players but if he dosent than what? Thats the question, I love Neco but at some point it will be either Glasner or Neco you have to back if OG dosent change the tactics. At the end of the day I just want Forest to stay up so if its OG and he wont chnage it up id take 50 mill for him and go get some pacey wing backs.

Wee bit premature to talk about selling Neco when he's only had two games in the new system, maybe?
I back him to adapt and come good.
When he was struggling as a RB when we first came up, many people were defending him on the basis that his natural position was RWB. Surely he just needs a bit of time to adapt again?
