Javi Rueda

Hopefully it all works out in the end. I am just a bit concerned as we don’t look like scoring in a month of Sundays.
Really? But for a great tackle and an equally good save, Wood could have scored a couple last night. Similarly, on Saturday, with the chance he put agonisingly wide.

Over the 2 games we’ve had 5 shots on target, an xG or 1.74 so it’s not that surprising we have zero goals.
Probably more importantly we never looked like winning and it never felt like we would win either games.
We’ve been rubbish by whatever metric you want to use.
We need to hang on till the international break and hopefully pick up from then.

Just seems a shame to sell a good player, a loyal servant and a top squad character just to play a certain system that we don't have the personnel to play.

Fully agree but I don’t see OG changing his system. Williams does not fit the system as a LWB. If Spurs are happy to pay £50-£60m then as tough as it is to accept we might just have to take that deal.

I suppose to give OG the best chance to be successful we have to give him the tools and players needed to do that. If we had kept VP there is not even a conversation to be had. But that’s the past now. Just have to accept it and move on and we may lose a few fan favourites because EM decided to gamble and go for OG.

xG means nothing to me mate. Whether we would have deserved to is another matter, but we could have won Saturday's game with better finishing, and got something last night.

I’m sorry, but how am I supposed to jump to conclusions and create a steadfast opinion on this rumour if there isn’t a YouTube highlights video…

I refuse to wait until he actually plays for us, I need to know how to respond when he makes the slightest misstep

Goals have and always will change games I guess that is why attackers tend to cost more. If Wood scores when he was put in on Saturday we could win the game.

As bad as last night was and it was really bad had Wood controlled the ball better in the first half rather than letting Rodon get back he maybe scores, same as if he takes a touch a 1-0 down and puts the shot in the bottom left which gives Trafford little chance rather than the bottom right and a first time shot.

We won loads of game 1-0 when we came 7th that the stats said we had no right to win as we were clinical with our finishing.

Wee bit premature to talk about selling Neco when he's only had two games in the new system, maybe?
I back him to adapt and come good.
Probably, however the new contract never got announced, he looks an awkward fit in the LWB role, Spurs hold an interest and are spending money like Richard Pryor in Brewsters Millions etc etc

I would say he should be off bounds for a sale, it’s not completely out of the question though depending on what our approach is - quick rebuild and recruit this week / or Glasner to adapt his approach more inline with the existing squad.

This guy started only 16 games for Celta Vigo last season. Was he their first choice and just injured, or a rotation option?

I read he played 26 league games and 11 europa league games, totaling 4 goals and 7 assists?

He played 31 times the season before for Albecete

Played 26, started 16 and played the full 90 only 5 times.

Not a bad G/A return given that, but is interesting that he wasn’t a consistent starter

La Liga:
26 matches, 2 goals, 4 assists, 1,405 minutes

Europa League
11 matches, 2 goals, 1 assist, 633 minutes

Copa del Rey
1 appearance, 45 minutes

All according to transfer markt

Yes, do that. My response was to a claim that we don't look like scoring. We could/should have in both games and I stick by that opinion.
But by applying that logic to Leeds’ half chances we would have lost something like 4-1, 5-2 in both matches which is scant consolation. In terms of goalscoring opportunities we got battered last night.

Can I ask you to re-read my post that you quoted mate; particularly the second sentence.

Okay… a bit pedantic …in that post you state that we could / should have scored in both games - I haven’t disputed that.
Can I ask you to reread my post and in particular the 4-1, 5-2 score lines I gave.
No one can argue that we could have scored but I am saying by that logic and based on the number and quality of the chances Leeds would have scored more.
So yes we might have won or drawn those games but that pattern over a period of time will not sustain positive results. Do you agree?

If you like xG we had more xG in the Premier League game against them. So we had the better chances?
