Jason Roberts

Blackburn want a stunning £1million for Jason Roberts - the striker without a squad number.

Roberts has been told he can go after a row with boss Sam Allardyce on a pre-season tour to Australia, but the fee is sky high.

The experienced forward is on close to £35,000-a-week at Rovers and that makes the deal hard for anyone to make with the price on top.

Nottingham Forest and Leeds are interested but may wait until the *Football League loan window opens next month.

He's ****ing ****, i'd rather play Nialle Rodney!

He would be a better, stronger more experienced foil for Earnshaw than Blackstock, and score more goals. Given Adebola is past it now, I think looking for another striker is important

Funny, I told Eric last week, I wouldn't be surprised if we are in for JAson Roberts... Cracking striker, ideal for what we need... Him and Earnie up front with Dexter just behind would be awesome!

I'm all for it. Everyone's been saying 'i'll take any signing' all summer. Well, here's one of decent quality and a player who's certainly proved himself at this level

Would be a pointless signing as another forward is not a priority.

you don't think so eh?? Outside Blackstock and Earnshaw, what is there now??? As the other options we have are just not good enough/don't have much of a future at Forest. Adebola is past it now, Tyson is no goalscorer (or anything else for that matter) as we all agree and witness whenever he plays, and should have been/be moved on (I desperately hope he goes now, in January or next summer). Garner is gone til January and clearly has no real future here under Billy, while McGoldrick is out for another couple of months at least so I'd say another quality is absolutely a priority along with other positions.

jason roberts goal machine

22 goals in his last 4 seasons

Considering Craig Bellamy has scored 26 in the same period - Roberts can't be that bad

Don't say that too loud, he'll be asking for 90k a week as well.

We should sign jake roberts just to psyche the opposition out
