Would be an excellent signing and give us more options. I bet WBA are one of the interested teams. First thought was the other would be Cardiff but they might be under an embargo.

We should be in for quality players like him when they are available.

He is a talented player but not really what we need. A left back, left midfield and a combative midfield player are required to allow the creative players we have at the club to shine. We need players to come in and hit the ground running and a player who has barely kicked a ball this year is not likely to do that.

Having said all that, I would not be unhappy to see him here!

If they would let him go, he'd be a brilliant signing.

Can't see it though.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has said midfielder Jason Koumas may leave to join another club on loan.

Koumas has fallen out of favour at the DW Stadium, making only eight Premier League appearances this season, and has been linked with a return to West Brom.

The 30-year-old left the Hawthorns for Wigan for a fee of £5.3m in 2007.

"We have had clear interest from two teams, he needs to play games. It would be a good opportunity for Jason to regain match fitness," said Martinez.

"He has been in a mode over the last three years where he hasn't played enough football."

A permanent deal cannot be arranged until the summer as the transfer window has now closed but loans to Football League clubs are still allowed.

Koumas had a spell on loan at Cardiff from West Brom during the 2005/2006 campaign.

I remember him coming to the City Ground and tearing us apart and being pretty much solely responsible for WBA winning 3-0.

Would be an excellent signing, not sure whether we would get him but it'd be silly not to try.

He plays left midfield. He will end up at WBA though.

We might know more from this Friday, as Friday is the day that loans can start that see through to a potential play off final.

We should be in for him, whether we get him or not is another question.

How has the vastly over-rated Koumas been playing this season?
He has an ego the size of Collymore. Sadly only about 2% of his talent though

Agree, he's a great championship player at his best, nothing more. Thats if his team mates can stomach him.

Based on what? He is a talented player with experience and creativity and could help nudge us over the line. Do you honestly think if he did come here that his alledged ego would be endured by Billy. Only one huge ego allowed.

This is the type of crap written about Earnie when he joined us.......

I'd take him but I understand he is Brom bound . .
