January Signing almost complete

Hi guys, not a Forest fan but got word today that you are very close to signing Matty Burrows - a name some of you might be familiar with from over this past week. From what i understand a number of championship clubs watched him during his amateur days including yourselves when you were in league one. Anyway, interest hotted up after his goal during the week (see the link) and Forest have been first to make a firm offer. Surprised to see interest from such a high level but he'll be available for buttons so the risk is minimal.

He plays up front. Real poacher. Scored something like 50 goals in one season in one of the lower leagues then got his move to Glentoran. Every club in the country was after him at this stage. The manager signed him then didn't take a shine to him for some reason but the fans love him. His goalscoring record his ridiculous. Impossible to tell how he'll do at a higher standard though given that he hasn't had first team football for even a season over here yet.

Everyone has to start somewhere! Big clubs look at players in Northern Ireland all the time. Theres regularly players moving over to England. Infact Werder Bremen have recently signed a young player from here.

He's a good mate of mine Liam Boyce played with him for a good load of years at club and school level. Deserves his shot. I know a good few people that have went from Northern Ireland to England most of which didn't quite make it.

I can't help but read your posts in your accent. They don't make sense when read with an English accent!
 
Can anyone find anymore clips of this lad? It was a great goal; what i will add though is that maybe striker isnt our weakest position and other positions should be looked at first and money spent on these positions instead of a position where we already have numerous options.

I'm sure he'll speak to the media about how certain this guy wants to come here - only for him to sign for Leeds the next day, telling the media "They were the only club who came in for me". lol
 
I'm surprised the mods haven't deleted this thread yet. "Signing" is a dirty word 'round these parts y' know.....
