Thought I'd do a poll to see if people think all Billy's moaning will pay off in the new year, just over a month to go after all ...

I think this coming January will be the best January since Januaries began. I jan see it now. :excited:

I think i'll read a lot in January. Read and make stews. that's all January is good for.

Don't Stoke have a load of tall players we could borrow for a few months ?

its a january window which mean we will not doubt here loads of the following.

1) wont be held to ransom
2) we wont pay over the odds
3) xxxx players wants to join us
4) hard to do bussiness in such a short space of time

and at the end of it

we tried to sign a number of quality players but unfortunatly failed to do so but will mean we have more cash to spend in the summer

Well according to the ever wise Mr. Arthur the January transfer window is so difficult to operate in (which is why every pretty much every other club manages to utilise it effectively), I would put a lot of money on us signing no-one again, meaning that it will be 4 out of 5 transfer windows without a permenant signing.

Please Santa can we have some new players. We've been good fans for ahem, well, most of the year and even a couple of bright shiney new players would make all the difference. By the way, I'm not being funny but could you deliver them near to Christmas rather than leaving me waiting patiently and ulimately pointlessly until the end of January... I couldnt take the dissappointment yet again this year.

Thanks, Rav

I think we will have a very good january; i just have a good feelin about forest atm and its all because of billy. He is cranking the pressure up on doughty to spend and we will finally see doughtys premiership ambitions; if we dont spend then doughty has no premier ambitions and a change is needed.

Billy is the best manager we have had for a while and atm we arent using his knowledge of players to the best we can.

With Doughty still in charge , the only expectations i have is no expectations at all. Doughty will ensure we don't get anyone in , he'll instruct Marthur to put in derisory bids at the last minute on the last day to make it like we are actually "trying" and then he'll reward Marthur , Pleat & pelling a bonus for money saved and crank up the pressure on Billy to achieve promotion by making do with what he has.

I expect either nothing or 1 loan this January.
If it wasn't for Dexters injury (get well soon) I don't think we would even get a loan player in.
I agree with Billys sentiment that why should this football club give other clubs players who are only just coming back into fitness playing time.
Lets be honest for every Nicky Shorey there are ten Michael Stewarts.

Surely your role is just to advise and recommend the party planning committee?

"So now, as an infallible way of making little ease great ease, I began to contract a quantity of debt." Great Expectations - Charles Dickens.

Just make last minute phone calls to get people to come and then tell your son and everyone else that you tried for weeks and weeks but they had better offers on the table and as a matter of principle you would not be held to ransom lol

Seems most people expect a transferless transfer window and Daford's kid to have a even worse birthday. Joy!

not looking good, if he can't have a party in January, his sister can't have one in June.

Cheeky Bastards:

Went in to the Forest Shop this morning and bought a new 2011 Forest Calander - got it home and found there is No January - it starts February but they've charged me for the full 12 months with no reductions.
