January ‘26 Transfer Window!!!!

We signed a goalkeeper, a striker and probably a left back. The 3 positions we most desperately to add to.
Ortega is no good, he’s another Turner/Vlach/Victor…..City played him out of desperation and has signed 3 keepers since, that tells me all i need to know.

Lucca - hard to get excited about, he has the goalscoring record of a centre back that goes up for corners.

I hate being so negative, but I genuinely think we’re weaker than we were a fortnight ago having lost Zinchenko and Luiz.

I think the line from the club a month or two ago was not to expect a busy January window due to the recruitment in the summer.

We've got enough I think boys and girls. Squads in good shape actually, Ndoye is gonna come good as will some of the other summer recruits. That said I think Edu is on borrowed time.

I don’t necessarily believe internet links but I agree the recruitment is an issue (why would anyone trust them with more expensive signings?).
Let's face it last Summer was a disaster.
Jesus looks decent as a Europa striker, Hutchinson shows promise (albeit expensive promise), Savona might develop into a good player but the rest haven't offered much at all.

We really can't afford to get it so badly wrong again.
Will Edu be given another chance?

We need to get more out of the likes of Bakwa,McAtee and Ndoye (who have all shown glimpses of talent but
need to get up to speed in the unforgiving Premier League).

The worst thing about the summer window for me was the expensive loan signings of Luiz and Zinchenko-a club
like Forest can’t carry passengers.

If you'd seen Zinchenko play you might not think we are weaker without him!

Also, Ortega is a really good goalkeeper.

The thing that f**ked our team unity up was bringing in too many players in the summer. It upset Nuno and the club lost its way. Maybe the club has learnt that isn’t always the best way and we are actually working to a plan now. All being well we have enough to stay up and reassessing the summer

Zinchenko was worse than useless on enormous wages.

His departure has strengthened the squad (both from a footballing and financial perspective).

Sticking a traffic cone at left back would strengthen us vs Zinc! He was beyond useless!
Luiz was never fit, and after the first few games when he did get on the pitch he looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here. Neither are a loss.
See what the 3 low risk signings bring, learn the lessons of this season and go again next year. Progress was never going to be in a straight line up.

Indeed: very apt description and made me laugh.

A traffic cone on at least 150k per week.
