I think we have to push the brakes on expectations. This team needs some proven quality additions first and foremost. Then throw in a couple of potential rough diamonds.Get this lad in and Cuiabano im not fussed about Igor Jesus
The memories.
They probably won't know until they get him in with the squad - while Murillo was always intended for us, apparently he blew everyone away with how good he was once he linked up.Could be another Murillo, could be Oly bound. Anyone’s guess.
You can push the brakes mate, Im going all gas no breaks i love the transfer windowI think we have to push the brakes on expectations. This team needs some proven quality additions first and foremost. Then throw in a couple of potential rough diamonds.
I have got the same first impression I got when I first saw Murillo, he just looks really good & Huijsen comparisons are so true. This guy has a similar frame to Dean Huijsen. If he is as good then I can't wait for the £50m offer from Real Madrid next year.
You could do a lot worse than sign Boly on a free (if he fancies it). He's still a really good defender IMO.I don't think he'll be spent to us. With Carmo certainly leaving (he wants his chance in the Premier, either with you or with another club on loan, but I suspect you may want to sell him), what we need is a solid experienced CB. Jair would benefit more from being a starter at a club with less pressure or from an apprenticeship year with you, playing the occasional cup or Conference League game.
Oh, I wouldn't mind Boly either. I rate him highly. You could do a lot worse than sign Boly on a free (if he fancies it). He's still a really good defender IMO.
I think he'd be brilliant for you guys. He's still Premier League quality easily, and would probably stay fit more often playing in a league less intense than the Premier League. He was a huge influence during his first couple of seasons here and personally I prefer him to Morato.Oh, I wouldn't mind Boly either. I rate him highly.

Boly was outstanding in the first 2 seasons back, but you could see he's lost all his pace now. Works in a 3 when we're backs against the wall but in almost any other circumstance he's not a top division player any more. That's just what happens to all players, not a criticism. What a signing though, incredible value and wore the armband several times.Tbf
Whilst I agree he did well in the couple of seasons before, this season
Boly has only started the 1-1 with Bournemouth on the opening day
Since then he has played
1' off the bench vs Southampton the game after
1' off the bench in the win vs Villa in December
21' off the bench when we beat Everton in December
18' off the bench in the 7-0 vs Brighton
15' off the bench in the Villa defeat
As well as in the cup vs Luton and Exeter
Most of the other games Boly has been on the bench but not used.
It is possible in older players that their fitness just drops off, it's also possible that Morato is just preferred ahead of him with Abbott as a longer term potential.
It's difficult to say whether Boly as of now is PL quality, the Boly of this time last year was, but things can change quickly.
If he dribbles out of the CB area like Murillo, I feel we need to sign more CBs to cover the AWOL dribbling CBs...
I know Wily Boly is getting on a bit, but didn’t know he’d become a dribbler. We need more defenders
We need more dribbling centre backs
Poor old Milenkovic, he will stood there bursting blood vessel after blood vessel as his two nutter CB partners either side of him are playing headers and volleys on the edge of the opposition box.If he dribbles out of the CB area like Murillo, I feel we need to sign more CBs to cover the AWOL dribbling CBs...
Worth watching this again, just fast forward to 7.06.Poor old Milenkovic, he will stood there bursting blood vessel after blood vessel as his two nutter CB partners either side of him are playing headers and volleys on the edge of the opposition box.
