Jack Wilshere

Would be a fantastic signing, but I imagine the lower premiership teams will be very interested and will prove a more attractive proposition to Wenger and Wilshere.

The Arsenal-youngster factor can work a few ways though.

I remember Wenger suggesting that Aliadiere was 'too talented' to play in the Championship when Kinnear was in charge - now look at him.

I think Wilshere is a different kettle of fish to be honest. He's proven himself better than Aliadiere ever did.

Wilshere is a ridiculous talent. I've watched him a few times, including two Emirates cup's in a row. Both years he was the best player in the tournament, and has an obsene amount of ability. As far as I am concerned, Wilshere will be without doubt the star of english football in years to come. His talent is just obscene. Would be a fantastic signing. Also, I doubt he would be played in the middle, he'd most likely be switching wings, as he is very comfortable on both wings, particularly coming off the right onto his left foot. Fantastic player. Yes please.

Wilshere said himself last week that he only wants to go to a Premier league club.

If he waits a few years he'll be able to go to County.

tbh itd be better for him to say come to us than say pompey as we play a decent style of football and will win the majority of our games were as a lower prem team will scrap around generally playing poor football and losing more times than not

Thats what I was thinking. A Hull or Pompey may well be Prem clubs but how much flowing football will he see? A top Championship side like Newc, Brom or us would be a good loan for him. it would benefit him with us more as he would experience a bit of competitive pressure of promotion. Certainly better than occasional games for the gooners.
pay him, whatever he wants. Would be THE signing of this era...and then Bale

With him on the right wing promotion would be a lot more likely. I have been hoping he'd break through this season in time for the World Cup. I think he's already good enough if he got the chance. Just like Michael Owen at France 98.

He's a talent on a par with Owen and Rooney, good enough to skip all the under 21 games and straight to the first 11.

Wenger says he will only go to a competitive team in the top fight or the upper echelons of the Championship. There aren't many competitive teams in the Premiership who would want him on loan so that leaves us, Cardiff, Newcastle and WBA.

If he's as obscenely talented as being suggested, wouldn't he be in the Arsenal team?

If you're good enough, you're old enough..

Well he does have Arse shavin' and Walcott ahead of him.

Walcott didn't get into the Arsenal squad to begin with and Wilshere's still only 17.

Wenger bloods young players, but not so much in the league. It's a real shame Aaron Ramsey's not Welsh as he and Wilshere would make the future England teams amazing on the flanks.

If we have any chance of getting Wilshere in, we should.
