It's that time of year again!

Time to make your predictions. I've just been lifted by the tough run in that the teams around us seem to have, I know it was hard but I didn't realise quite how hard people like Barnsley and Norwich in particular have it! I've just done mine and had us finishing as high as 18th place on 52 points ahead of Derby and Blackpool on 51 and Norwich on 47 with Barnsley (46), Southampton (42) and Charlton (32) all going down.

I had us down for a scrappy 1-0 win against Brizzle, followed by a 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United. Then a 2-0 win at home to Cov which I think will be vital and a 1-1 draw away at Blackpool which saw us safe. We then beat Southampton 2-1 just to cap it off.

I don't believe those results are too unrealistic (even if you swap one of the home games for a draw it still sees as fairly safe) and a lot of teams around us still have Wolves and Birmingham to play and play each other.

Sorry, it wouldn't let me post the full table for some reason. YOU REDS!!!! :)

I can't see it happening but it would be incredible if we managed that!

I've done this a few times and have probably predicted different things each time!

Anyway:

I went for a 2-1 win on Saturday, 2-1 defeat against Sheff Utd, 3-1 resounding home win against Cov, 2-1 against Blackpool and 2-2 draw on the last day.

That left the table like this:

18: Norwich -6 53 points
19: Forest -16 52
20: Plymouth -16 49
21: Barnsley -16 48
-------------------------------
22: Blackpool -18 48
23: Southampton -20 43
24: Charlton -31 34

I'm sure I'm completely wrong there, but I had Norwich down to get wins against Watford, Reading and Charlton, draw with Ipswich and lose to Swansea.

Plymouth draw with Coventry, Doncaster and Barnsley while losing to Birmingham and QPR.

Blackpool lose to Preston, Reading, Forest and Swansea, while drawing with Charlton.

Barnsley losing to Sheff Utd, Reading, Swansea and Wolves, while drawing with Plymouth, Coventry and Watford

Saints to lose to Watford, Wolves and Sheff Wed, and drawing with Palace, Burnley and Forest.

I've not looked at the last day fixtures before but some potentially win stays up games

Forest v Southampton
Plymouth v Barnsley
Charlton v Norwich

I also got Forest to finish on 52 points but in 21st and 22nd i had plymouth and barnsely before the final game with 1 point between them

just done this thinking no chance we could get to 18th and came out with:

bristol draw
sheff utd lose
coventry win
blackpool win

Taking into account my other random guesses that leaves the bottom looking like this with one game to go:

18 - Forest - 49
19 - Blackpool - 48
20 - Plymouth - 47
21 - Barnsley - 47
22- Norwich - 44
23 - Southampton - 41
24 - Charlton - 36

Which i would be very very happy with.

See attachment for full table after all games played (which assumes we beat southampton on the last day).

Interesting that i have reading sneaking the final automatic spot over birmingham.

I honestly think we'll stay up.

Sheffield United aside, I think we have the easiest run-in.

I honestly think we'll win three and draw one, losing to Sheff Utd in the other.

Blackpool, for me, is a definite win. They're awful at home and Coventry should take their foot off the gas by the time we play them.

Bristol or Southampton for the other win and draw with the other.

You've got Barnsley, Plymouth Blackpool And Southampton not winning a single game.

Yeah i've got a similar set of results but that is based ont he fact that those teams have got some really tough games left in their run-ins.

I got us in 21st place staying up by 1 point above Barnsley, Norwich and Charlton.

Tried to be pesimistic and generous to other teams.

Had a draw with Bristol, Lose to Sheff, Draw with Cov, Beat Blackpoo and Lose to Southampton.

Gave us 47 points.

Can't see Barnsley getting many points but in reality I don't see 47 points being enough for us. There will be some upsets before the end.

We need to win our last two.

i thought about filling it in a few weeks back and couldnt bring myself to do it so did the prem one instead but with the 5 games we have left if we don't get the results i predicted i'll be gutted

bristol draw
sheff u lose (would love to get something though)
cov win
blackpool win (this one mayb not but id take a draw)
southampton win

we just have to hope other teams do the business on those around us aswell

Yeah, I daren't fill it in, to be honest!
i've done the bbc predictor several times and sometimes i have us going down and other times not , i honestly haven't got a bloody clue if we'll make it or not , my nerves are shredded already , whatever happens i think we're in for a good season next year either a top 10 finish in the champ or straight back up from div 3 (well i'm trying to be positive about the worst case scenario)

I wouldn't dream of predicting each teams run in. Anything could happen.

And you can bet that on a Southampton forum they would all have them staying up and us going down.

Ah you say that, but is that a forum about Southampton the football club or Southampton the holding company?

Makes a big difference.

I have us staying up by a point, and have done all three times I've done it ... however we stay up on 48 and I worry that wont actually be enough.

Stuart Pearce
The headline in the Norwich Evening News was Earnshaw warns City.

I assume he has said they'll go down and we'll stay up.

I wish he hadn't.

I came up with:

Bristol-1-1 D

Sheff U-2-1 L

Coventry-2-1 W

Blackpool-1-1 D

Southampton-1-0 W

So we will be safe on 50 points come may ;D
with Norwich, southampton and charlton going down instead :D
