Met Office weather forecast is that it is going to lift about 4pm and come down again about 9pm.

I'm pretty sure the Police won't call it off given this advice. If the Met Office get it right, at least we'll also know what to pray for at half time.
 
I can the remember the cup games against palace yrs ago got called off at last minute a few times I think due to fog . On one of the occasions I was on way to ground n saw palace coach goin the other way then heard news on radio several minutes after. Fogs always bad around the trent !
 
It does seem to be lifting where we are so the Met Office may be right, though as you say it is bad near the mighty City Ground!

'Oh mist rolling in from, the Trent, my desire, is always to be here' may have more than one meaning later!
 
I live in the City Centre so have just popped to the ground. Was a tad worried as was quite bad around where i live less than 1/2 a mile away however the area around the ground itself is almost perfect.

I've taken a couple of photos which i'll upload if i can figure out how!
 
Cheers MikeyJ25 - that's a relief. Shall be departing shortly for the Southbank to prepare for the match of the season. Just been on Twitter. Stuart Broad predicting a 3-1 win with Ramsey to score first - that will do me nicely!

Lets hope it stays like this weather wise.
 
Just driven over Trent Bridge literally 5 minutes ago. Have to say it doesn't look great but still a few hours left so lets hope things change.
 
Chipperfield has just tweeted that its cleared up considerably.

Lets hope it stays like this, otherwise there will be 29k footie fans blowing south come 7.45pm!!
 
I'm stood in the "beer garden" of the Southbank and I can see across Trent Bridge - good enough to play football in!
 
the mist certainly set the mood for MOK... was perfect.. a bit too quick in VC but still loud as ever... well done to all areas of the ground. Did ourselves proud tonight!!
