It doesn't sound like its going to plan!

I'm just wondering if, like in January(various!) all the players we are going for won't be coming in, leaving us up shit street.
I was really looking forward to our summer transfers as we appear to do well around this time of the year in bringing quality additions into the club but it appears we are hitting a brick wall atm.
I know there is a month to go before it all ko, and I am hoping that the club has secretly tied afew signings up but got this nagging feeling that things are not dropping into place as the club expected?
With players joining Perch out of the club such as rumoured Tyson, Garner, Jules etc you do wonder what is going on?! I do have faith because of last summer, but if players like Shorey do not want to come we really can't hang around for too long in finding other targets.
It also proves that most of the time people are talking bs on transfer forums with inside info about this player has signed, will be announced tomorrow crap. The same yet again applies to the tripe on Vital, which yet again fails to deliver. I won't go on about that any more as nuff was said last week about this, but just wanted to know what fellow LTLF fans thought about our current lack of signing's and are we all confident that quality players will be coming in to fill the vital positions which need facking filling, and quick!

At the moment im not concerned, as we have made 1 £1 million signing in raddy, which was the most important piece of business.

I reckon the AP is hard at work, and should be given the benefit of the doubt right now :)

dont let the raddy thing mean anything about this summers transfers, it should have been done in January. I dont know what Forest are playing at, they seem to sit on their arses until last minute and expect to get their primary targets for peanuts with no backup plans should they not sign.

i can see billy throwing his rattle out of the pram again at this rate.

Which in past summers we have.

There seems to be a level of hysteria creeping in. Maybe people need to get another interest until the season starts. I have heard good things about spankwire.

Golf and Football are two good healthy pastimes that could help you take your mind off Forest transfers and get you fit at the same time

It's a lovely day, the sun is shining.

Why not go for a walk in the sunshine? You could always plan a nice stroll that ends up in a welcoming hostelry, to recharge the batteries.

None of us on here can do anything about getting new players in, unless the Chairman is reading this (Hello Mr. Doughty!) so just chill out and lets see what happens.

The window is open until the end of August (another seven weeks) so there's no need to panic just yet.

The AP did OK last summer, doing some good business as very reasonable prices.

After all, we don't want to become the Championship's equivalent to Manchester City, throwing ridiculous amounts of money at any old player.

I'd much rather the club take its time, and get the right players in, players who want to play for Forest, and who won't be over-priced.

Kryten: They've taken Mr Rimmer! Sir, they've taken Mr Rimmer!
Cat: Quick! Let's get out of here before they bring him back!"

I'm not panicing yet, but the only thing that worries me is that the TAP have not been in this situation before. We will now be looking at a higher calibre of player and they might be finding it harder to acquire these.

Last year we signed alot of players who were not wanted by there clubs and fortunately they all turned out to be excellent. Before then we were the biggest team in League One and had advantage.

Now it is potentially a slightly different ball game?!

How many clubs have actually signed players? Not that many so far

Plenty of time

We're arguably the biggest team in the championship, though we can't compete with the parachute payment monkeys on salary.

I must admit I'm getting concerned also.
Take Pratley for example...he's signed...it's in the bag...announcment soon.
Then what do we hear(from Radio Nottingham this lunchtime for example) we've not even made a bid. Now c'mon eben the most optimistic among us must begin to wonder why ,if Pratley is our number one target, we've not even made a f***ing bid yet. What EXACTLY are we waiting for ?

I don't agree with this. Blackstock, Gunter, Camp and Anderson we all knew were excellent from their previous loan spells. Adebola was proven at this level. McGoldrick was wanted by alot of other clubs, so for us to get there first and sign him was great (no sniggering at the back there...). McKenna was quite a coup, although not the biggest name in the league, he was one of the best midfielders, and for him to leave Preston after 12 years, we must have been on the ball. Majewski was the only player I'd agree was not wanted by his club, and who fortunately turned out to be amazing.

I don't think we'll sign all of our targets, but we should sign enough for us to improve on last season's performance...

Whaaaat?!

Mckenna- prestons club captain
Adebola- offered a new contract by bristol
Anderson- couldve gone to swansea, with other clubs sniffing around
Blackstock- Maybe
Lee Camp- Maybe
Gunter- was still highly valued by spurs, and they did not really want to sell, but did because he wanted to leave.
Raddy- Maybe
Mcgoldrick- saints wanted to keep him, but badly needed the money
Lynch- Brightons chairman said he did want to keep him

We did extremely well last year

If we are letting go, then it's pretty obs that a few have been lined up to come in...

Much like how Blackstock was one of our later signings but we actually had him signed up first...

Get him singed FFS

This all according to a few posters on an internet forum, which to be honest should always be taken with a pinch of salt.

History has shown us that Forest always dip into the transfer market late, we did it last year and we finished third. We don't have to do half the rebuilding that we did last summer, so there is no real rush to get any new signings in.

"Don't panic, don't panic!" I get it. I am sure it'll get sorted soon(I hope!) but with one month away from the start of the season it really needs to start happening asap. Imagine how u would feel in a fortnight's time with the new season fast approaching and still no new signing's?
