It’s BALLY’S and ADIDAS (again!) and not KAIYUN SPORTS not MACRON, not BOXT, or UNHCR

Yes, but - I'd also think that a 47th+48th anniversary isn't the season to do it.

At this point, you wait a couple years surely?
Guess it depends on how long the Adidas contract is for. If it doesn't take us to the 50th anniversary season then you do it now, don't want to get to the end of our Adidas deal and find Nike have offered more money and we swap kit makers thus missing out on the chance. That and in 3 years Adidas might abandon the trefoil again. I say it do it now.

Any idea how many top flight clubs have yet to release next season's kits? We seem, permanently, to be one of the last. They're very happy to increase ticket prices yet continually miss out on the opportunity to sell shirts prior to the summer holidays.

Marinakis might have the right intentions but commercially his mob are clueless.

It has been like it for years.

Forest always seem to be so far behind when it comes to commercial stuff like this, and I don’t know why.

Thing is, the designs will have been in place for ages, so why the delay?

Say it every year but also miss out on May, June, July birthdays as well as the holiday crowd, a quarter of the birthdays.

How hard can it be to put in place an earlier date?

Our sponsorship deals are always announced at the 11th hour so assume they hold off releasing the kit as long as possible as if they sell a load without a sponsor you'd think the clubs gets paid less.

Only had 12 months to sort a new sponsor out though...

Even this year's sponsorship deal appeared to be a favour from a mate of EM rather than anyone in the clubs commercial department (if we have one) earning their wage.

One year (might have been our first one back) our kit launch was so late the season had almost started for one of them. Far cry from the likes of Liverpool who wear next season's for their final game.

This is probably it. I've posted about this before but I saw next season's away/third shirt in SEPTEMBER 2025. The kits have been ready for ages (bar maybe some small tweaks here and there) - companies like Adidas, who are doing the same for hundreds of other teams, don't mess about.

I imagine or would hope its more to do with adidas because otherwise commercial sense would be have the team wear the new home kit last game of the season and have it in the club shop for fans to buy online and in store before and after the game. Then release the away kit for the start of presason and the third kit the week the season kicks off.

It's only the bigger clubs in the PL that release theirs early. I mean United were wearing theirs when they played us (which is awful btw) and Liverpool wore theirs last game of the season, but who else have officially released theirs? Can't think of many.

Its good to sit near them at a BBQ though as they attract the flies
You're right, although I often find smearing a small child with jam does a slightly better job.

Have you thought they might be the sponsors because they are paying the most? Why does it matter whether its a mate of EM or not. If anything it reflects we are getting above the market rate.

Was this "Bally Sport" (pah!) deal only one season then? Has that been confirmed anywhere?

My point was more about why it takes until what appears like the last minute to secure a sponsor when surely there is someone employed by the club who has a whole year to network and line up a deal(s) and set clauses on its value dependent on how the preceding season ends. That might not be how it works but it still feels like we have never been a proactive club in that respect.

The club have probably already photographed all the marketing for the new kit but will hold off selling it until they can photoshop on the sponsor. And as mentioned in another post they miss 2 months of summer sales because of it.

That said, I expect a lot of clubs may not announce sponsors until late this summer given the gambling "ban". Unless Bally's online casino doesn't count as gambling 🤪

Something to consider, we could have been relegated, would could have landed in the CL, those kind of variables likely have a significant impact on sponsorship discussions.

Should still have options lined up though….

It feels like no one at the club does anything until 5 minutes before a deadline and then shits themselves when they realise they have run out of time. The lack of foresight is utterly baffling at times .

Now that's one to go into the opposing column of the "reasons I don't want to have kids" list...

They don't sell them yet because they haven't got the kits yet

The only clubs to release kits so far are Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool because they are all priority clubs for the manufacturers because they sell more than everyone else

It is nothing to do with the club, this comes up every year. I am also not convinced they miss 2 months of sales either, the same people are going to buy them whether they buy them in June, July or August
