Ishmael Miller

Not sure where to put this, mod can move if they so wish.

I would like us to sign Ishmael Miller. Even with his brief appearance against us. I saw so much of a certain Stanley Victor Collymore in him. Pace, strength, power, skill, and still quite young... I'd happily see us try and get him from WBA...

At the end of the season , IF we get promoted and West Brom didn't , he would be a good option to buy. We might need someone to replace Adebola and he could be ideal. Still a long way to go though.

Nick.

Once known as Nick.Doyle.nffc on 'ere.
When he was at Man City, he looked a great prospect. Had a few injuries now, but still would be a good signing.

He looked a class above when he came on. I think if they can keep him fit they will improve again.

He only looked good because the rest of the team were :w**ker:, hes injury prone and apparently (from a baggie friend) he has a severe attitude problem. Against a decent defender (when we are in the prem) he will be made to look ordinary because hes a 1 trick pony, always cuts back onto his left side.

Millers last game before coming on against us was back in December 2008.

He ain't no world beater!!!! and his stat's go a long way to prove that.

SEASON: Club: Played: Goals:

2005/06 Man. Cty. 01 00
2006/07 Man. Cty. 19 00
2007/08 West Brom. 40 16
2008/09 West Brom. 15 03
2009/10 West Brom. 13 mins. 00

19 goals in four & a half seasons doesn't make him the most prolific of strikers!!!! He's only had one good spell and that was back in the 2007/8 when he played in 40 matches and scored 16 goals and if you were to take away those figures he would have played 35 games in 3 & a half seasons - scoring only 3 goals.

Sorry but I ain't convinced - We have better strikers on our staff and that includes Joe Garner.

Jeez Dan, I wouldn't want you as a scout if you signed people based on a short cameo in a team bereft of a great deal.

He did look better than the other West Brom players - but that in itself is a veiled compliment at best :)

He always looks too angry, I like happy people and for this reason I wouldn't sign him.

Let him go to Derby, there's plenty to be unhappy about there.

Miller is very good and has just been out with an horrendous injury.

Once he's fit again, he'll be brilliant. He can score from anywhere around the box and he's good in the air as well. He's quick and he's strong - the complete striker.

He's very much like Didier Drogba in that respect but obviously not of the same quality.

The fact that he scored 16 league goals in one season shows he is decent. We haven't had someone do that for years - even Earnie didn't get 16 in the league last season.

That is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. For a start, that amount of games equates to about 1 3/4 seasons not 3 1/2.

You can't just 'take away' his best season... you could do that and make most players look crap. It's already been mentioned he's struggled with injuries and no doubt most of his Man City appearances were as sub as well. Add in the fact West Brom were struggling in the Premiership in 08/09 and you've got someone who has only really had one consistant season and he scored a decent amount of goals.

Numbers on their own don't tell you everything.

The problem is that the WBA tryin 'to go up, do not think they will give it up, it's an important piece for them.
