Is This a 1st For Forest?

Messing about with the home office to secure a work permit for Robbie Findley? hope Forest don't cock it up as they haven't dealt with many work permits in the past haha

Im sure they wont cock it up; we let anyone into this country even illegally so why would they say no to someone who is actually following the proper procedures to live here lol

The last one they did - Brad Friedel.

Hope MA is not the one who has to make the call/send the letter/pay them a visit.

Not hearing a lot from Marthur these days he might have had his wings clipped a bit by the Chairman after the Pratley & Whittingham cock up.

Everything MA has his fingers in ends in failure:

"We are serious about promotion" debarcle summer 2004
Pratley and Whittingham cock up
Nottingham World Cup bid

and near enough everything else he gets close to

I reckon it was Ben Olsen or Stern John which worked out successfully

Please read the post properly - Tnewton posted "Messing about with the home office to secure a work permit for Robbie Findley? hope Forest don't cock it up as they haven't dealt with many work permits in the past haha

My reply was "The last one they did - Brad Friedel" - meaning the last cock up regarding a work permit for a Yank was Brad Friedel - nothing to do with Ben Olsen or Stern John - they were both signed....................Please keep up!!!!

Bear in mind that while we haven't heard much from MA, it doesn't mean we can assume he's doing nothing. I've been critical of him in the past but we've signed 3 players in the last month; one is genuinely world class, one is a solid "no risk" (to rightly quote Fraser Nicholson) championship player and the other is a US International. As Chief Executive, MA will have had something to do with this.

A bit of tongue and cheek with what I said. (should put that in my sig)

Who the hell have we signed that is genuinely world class lol?

Aaron Ramsey.

If he hadn't got injured when he did, he'd be integral to the Arsenal first 11 now. We're extremely lucky to have a player of his calibre at our club.

Damn right.

Sincerely hope we can keep him a little longer - even just a month...

Come on, Arséne - he's only playing 15 minutes of a game at the mo, and only 3 games remaining in this loan spell...he's not going to be Arsenal 1st team sharp, now is he... Makes sense, if the player likes, to stay here a little longer...It's a win-win...

And English is his 1st language, not like that makes any difference to giving him a work permit.. But it should really though.

Didn't Frank Clark used to be on the football panel advising immigration on this sort of thing? Hopefully he'll OK it.

cant believe he even needs a work permit with all the polish and Lithuanians working in this country! i bet they aint got one

i know that but you would have thought that an international footballer who will be paying a lot of tax would be let in when they let people in to pick flowers and make cakes!

We should be sending all the Poles back now they are all redundant - I've heard they can't get the Brussels & Cabbages out of the ground.

Aaron Ramsey is not world class. Or is it just because he's a premier league footballer?
